He is an effort player with an offensive game. There are plenty of efforts players on the team who can't make a shot to save their lives (Mo, Davis, Aminu,...). almost 45% in 3s, almost 80% FT is darn good for a Big man. My main concern, he might get lots of shots blocked if he is too close to the basket. But he likes to finish Strong. I see Brian Grant with a good Jump Shot and 3 point shot. Does anyone see us matching the Warrior at almost every position now? I know, this is premature but, Collins (with his length) can bother Durant. Need to get quicker on his feet, though. KD doesn't overpower guys, he shoots over them. Caleb can go against Green. I wish we could trade for a real SF. Mo and Turner are just not good enough for our ambitions.
I feel even better about this pick after watching Bell tonight. I know it's summer league but I really wanted Bell.
I'm sure this has been discussed in the 11 previous pages, but digging his shout-out to Z-Bo by wearing #50. Man, that would be great.
It's a funny coincidence that he also wears 50. His dad died at 50 and that's how he remembers him. I swear he looks exactly like a young Zach Randolph out there, though. Maybe less crafty a post scorer and more range, but just a very similar overall game. Swanigan thinks every rebound is his and every spot he wants under the rim is his. Dude is a serious load.
Do you really have to ask ? There are more reason to never post on this board than the opposit. It's actually amazing that he finally registered. Everybody makes bad decisions once in a while
It's just the nature of my game I guess. I am more of an observationalist with an aggressive temper. I know some posters can be cute when they try to get testy, so I tend to just stand back and view the show at times.
Good point. Make a post and get attacked. That's how it works around here. Still . . . eleven years is a long time to stay silent.
It wont take much for Swanigan to beat out Vonleh. Prediction: Biggie will be the starting PF by mid-season.
Unless Swanigan makes it super obvious that he should start I think Noah is a lock to start until the trade deadline. We'll showcase Noah for the first half and trade him much like Mason if it's obvious he's going to command a large contract.
Yeah I missed the game because of work too. Kept refreshing for a highlight video so I could avoid the actual game lol
All I've ever seen are a few interviews and highlight videos, but every time I watch him - whether it's playing or speaking - he reminds me of Dame.
We will see how Biggie's confidence is in real games, and his defense. If he shows up to play and plays reasonable D, then I think you are right. He has a nice quick release on the three, can pass and rebound well. What isn't to like. I think Vonleh has better physical tools, but he just doesn't use them like he could/should. Biggie seems to get it so far.
