I would not wish a back injury on my worst enemy. Been dealing with one since 1976.

Best wishes, to both of you.

The analysis of 39,048 patients with various operations for lumbar disc herniation revealed the same pattern of long-term results. Patients who had microdiscectomy, endoscopic microdiscectomy or the classical operation (laminectomy/laminotomy with discectomy) all had approximately 79s% good/excellent results.Mar 27, 2015

Wife had this surgery two years ago, up and at it quickly and no pain since. She will do great.

There was lots of scarring around the disc.

They accidently nicked the sack around the spinal cord, causing some spinal fluid leakage.

    Shit just got more serious.

She should be fine but she's going to have to remain completely flat for a few days now.

At least that's what they're telling me.

I'm really sorry to hear that there were complications, but I'm glad that won't cause serious long-term issues. My best to her.

Make sure she does stay flat. You can get nasty headaches from spinal fluid leakage.
