No. 18 Oklahoma St rallies, survives to beat K-State 43-37 Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy is never going to second-guess Kansas State counterpart Bill Snyder. There will be plenty of others who do. No. 20 West Virginia hands Kansas 40th straight road loss West Virginia's Skyler Howard jumped just before safety Mike Lee plowed into him near the Kansas end zone, sending the quarterback into an awkward somersault and a hard landing on his right hip. Howard got up from the second-quarter scare at the end of the 15-yard run and went back to the huddle. His gutsy play epitomized his determination to restore confidence in an offense that looked flat a week ago in the Mountaineers' first loss of the season. "He plays his best when he's like that," West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen said. "I thought he sparked us." Howard threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more scores to lead No. 20 West Virginia to a 48-21 victory over Kansas on Saturday night, sending the Jayhawks to their 40th straight road loss. Watson throws 6 TD passes, leads No. 4 Clemson to 56-7 win Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson knew when the fourth-ranked Tigers' work was done against South Carolina -- and shared that with the huge, appreciative crowd at Death Valley. Watson, playing his final home game, threw his third TD pass of the opening quarter for a 21-0 lead Saturday night, then placed his hands together and leaned his head against them as if to say, "Nighty night." New defensive look among the many changes at Louisville this spring The Louisville team that takes the field in September will be vastly different from the one that left the field in January. In that, there is no coincidence. One two-hour practice Tuesday revealed how, and why. Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Lamar Jackson took his usual snaps, and had his usual zip on the ball. But he also lined up under center at various points, a skill set he has been working to master all spring. Florida State has faith in Deondre Francois when it trails -- and for good reason Before last season, Jimbo Fisher said he subscribes to the cumbersome concept of “clutch” -- that some players continue to perform their best at the end of games. He just didn’t know if his redshirt freshman quarterback’s composition possessed the quality, so he abstained when asked three weeks before the 2016 opener. It took all of one game for Deondre Francois to gain Fisher’s confidence. The eighth-year head coach said with conviction last week that Francois’ late-game abilities can no longer be questioned. “This guy is a big-time player. Big-time player,” Fisher said. “He can lead, is tough, accurate. He will make a lot of money in this game one day, a bunch. That guy in big-time games, he competes.” Read more http://www.espn.com/blog/acc/post/_...e-francois-when-it-trails-and-for-good-reason
