Kelly Bryant leads No. 2 Clemson past No. 12 Hokies, 31-17

Kelly Bryant left Virginia Tech defenders grasping at air, laying on the ground and wondering how they'd missed him.

And they missed him plenty, and No. 2 Clemson has three victories against Top 25 programs engineered by its new quarterback.

"When we got here, I could sense the energy and the excitement," Bryant said. "The coaches did a great job of preparing us."

Making just his fifth start, the junior ran for 94 yards, hit Tavien Feaster with a pass the speedy running back took 60 yards for a score and avoided mistakes as the Tigers beat the No. 12 Hokies 31-17 in a game that the Tigers had control of seemingly throughout.

Jackson, No. 17 Cardinals make quick work of Murray State

In a week full of outside distractions, No. 17 Louisville was focused on the field with overwhelming results.

Lamar Jackson had a short but productive day, throwing for 249 yards and three touchdowns in just over a half and the Cardinals (4-1) routed Murray State 55-10 on Saturday.

No. 24 NC State beats No. 17 Louisville 39-25

North Carolina State coach Dave Doeren spent the weeks leading up to the season repeatedly saying his Wolfpack team was ready for a big step forward after years of building depth and experience.

Halfway through the schedule, his team is proving him right.

Nyheim Hines ran for two touchdowns while the defense slowed reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson to help No. 24 North Carolina State beat No. 17 Louisville 39-25 on Thursday night.

Rosier rallies No. 13 Miami to 24-20 win over Florida State

With 1:24 remaining, it appeared Florida State had rallied again in the fourth quarter to beat No. 13 Miami and extend its winning streak over its Sunshine state rival.

Malik Rosier and the Hurricanes weren't quite done, though.

The junior drove Miami 75 yards in nine plays, throwing a 23-yard touchdown pass to Darrell Langham with 6 seconds left and Miami beat Florida State 24-20 on Saturday to end a seven-game losing streak in the series.

No. 16 Virginia Tech beats Boston College 23-10

It might have looked easy for three quarters or so.

For Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente, though, it was enough to give him indigestion.

"Where we're at as a team is, it's going to be a three-and-a-half hour stomach ache," he said after the 16th-ranked Hokies bounced back from a loss to defending national champion Clemson by beating Boston College 23-10 on Saturday night. "That's where we're at, and just how it's going to be."

Dungey has 3 TD passes, Syracuse stuns No. 2 Clemson 27-24

As the celebration in the Syracuse locker room reverberated through the walls of the Carrier Dome, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney winced a little bit, dreams of a perfect season lost in a sea of orange.

Eric Dungey threw for 278 yards and three touchdowns, Cole Murphykicked a tiebreaking field goal in the fourth quarter, and Syracuse stunned No. 2 Clemson 27-24 on Friday night to put a damper on the Tigers' chances to repeat as national champions.

Miami Miracle: No. 11 'Canes rally past Georgia Tech, 25-24

Darrell Langham was going down, and so was No. 11 Miami.

    Until they weren't.

A Miami Miracle happened again -- and the Hurricanes are still perfect this season. Langham's 28-yard catch on a tipped ball that just happened to fall into his arms as he fell down on a fourth-or-else play helped set up Michael Badgley's 24-yard field goal with 4 seconds left, and Miami somehow beat Georgia Tech 25-24 on Saturday.

No. 20 NC State pulls away from Pitt in 35-17 win

On the road with a chance to take control of the ACC's Atlantic Division, No. 20 North Carolina State spent a half nearly squandering the opportunity, familiar territory for a program that has spent more than a decade fighting a losing battle with sustained success.

Then the third quarter started, the Wolfpack dominated and a promising season took another impressive step forward.

Nyheim Hines ran for an 83-yard touchdown and returned a punt 92 yards for another score on his way to 249 total yards and Jaylen Samuels added a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown runs as the Wolfpack pulled away from Pittsburgh for a 35-17 win on Saturday.

No. 8 Miami survives Syracuse test, beats Orange 27-19

By Miami's new standards, this game was decided early.

That means with a couple minutes to spare.

Travis Homer's 33-yard touchdown run with 2:48 left was the latest entry in No. 8 Miami's growing list of fourth-quarter magic moments this season, and the Hurricanes extended their longest winning streak in 15 years by holding off Syracuse 27-19 on Saturday.

Jackson, No. 14 Virginia Tech routs North Carolina 59-7

Justin Fuente was ever the coach after Virginia Tech's blowout victory over North Carolina in a game in which the Hokies dominated in every phase.

"I don't know about that," Fuente said when asked if the performance was Virginia Tech's most complete of the season.

It would be hard to argue against such an assessment, though.

Josh Jackson threw three touchdown passes and No. 14 Virginia Tech scored on fumble, interception and punt returns in the 59-7 rout Saturday.

Bounce back: No. 7 Clemson, Bryant rebound for 24-10 victory

Kelly Bryant spent two weeks wondering about himself and his team after Clemson's loss at Syracuse. Both he and seventh-ranked Tigers put the doubts to rest against Georgia Tech.

Clemson's banged-up quarterback passed for two touchdowns and 207 yards as the Tigers topped the Yellow Jackets 24-10 on Saturday night, rebounding from the team's first loss of the season and regaining momentum on the try for a second straight national championship.

No. 8 Miami stays unbeaten, tops North Carolina 24-19

Eighth-ranked Miami is still unbeaten, even if it isn't coming easy.

Malik Rosier threw for a career-high 356 yards with three touchdowns to help the Hurricanes hold off North Carolina 24-19 on Saturday, though they struggled to put away an injury-riddled team despite entering the game as 20-point favorites.

Jackson leads No. 13 Virginia Tech past Duke, 24-3

Josh Jackson threw for a touchdown before the weather turned bad, and ran for another after it got really sloppy to keep No. 13 Virginia Tech on track to have its destiny in its control with what coach Justin Fuente called the "gauntlet" ahead.

The Hokies' 24-3 victory against Duke was their third in a row, and set up the next two weeks as decisive. Virgnia Tech plays at Miami on Saturday, and then Georgia Tech, and those three schools are the ones most likely to play in the ACC title games.

Jackson's scoring pass to Sean Savoy came with 15 seconds left in the first half, giving Virginia Tech a 17-3 lead. The running score was just window dressing on a night when Virginia Tech never let Duke get anything going on offense. They finished with just 183 yards.

No. 6 Clemson holds off No. 20 NC State 38-31 in ACC

Clemson trailed much of the day. It faced a veteran ranked team with a strong defensive line. And it was playing in front of a hostile crowd in a game the sixth-ranked Tigers had to win to stay in the race for another College Football Playoff appearance.

In the end, Dabo Swinney's bunch responded with the same big-game composure -- even with a younger team that lost so many stars from last year's national championship squad.

Tavien Feaster ran for an 89-yard touchdown to end the third quarter and K'Von Wallace picked off Ryan Finley on the final play to help Clemson beat No. 20 North Carolina State 38-31 on Saturday.

Coastal time: No. 9 Miami beats No. 13 Virginia Tech 28-10

Alex Rodriguez flashed his turnover chain, Jennifer Lopez waved a pompom while dancing in her seat most of the night and 63,000 of their closest friends roared from start to finish.

No. 9 Miami faced its biggest test of the season and made it look easy.

Malik Rosier threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score, Travis Homer had a 64-yard touchdown run and Miami moved to the brink of clinching what would be its first spot in an Atlantic Coast Conference championship game by topping No. 13 Virginia Tech 28-10 on Saturday night and extending the nation's longest current winning streak to 13 games.

No. 4 Clemson wins ACC Atlantic with 31-14 victory over FSU

Travis Etienne always dreamed of helping his team win a title. It didn't take very long for the freshman to turn that dream into reality at Clemson.

Etienne ran for 97 yards and two touchdowns to lead the fourth-ranked Tigers to a 31-14 victory over Florida State that clinched the team's third straight ACC Atlantic Division title and a trip to the league championship game.

Miami in a rout: No. 7 Hurricanes roll No. 3 Irish, 41-8

Miami is getting championship rings when this season is over.

Maybe, just maybe, the biggest kind.

The Hurricanes sent two very clear messages to the College Football Playoff committee Saturday night -- that they're worthy of being a national title contender and that Notre Dame is not. Travis Homer ran for 146 yards, Deejay Dallas had a pair of touchdown runs and No. 7 Miami dominated No. 3 Notre Dame 41-8 to extend the nation's longest winning streak to 14 games.

Marshall's 2 long TDs lead GTech past No. 17 VTech 28-22

TaQuon Marshall made the most of his only two completions.

And, finally, Georgia Tech won a close game.

Marshall threw a pair of long scoring passes, including an 80-yarder to Ricky Jeune with 6 1/2 minutes remaining , and Ajani Kerr swatted away a fourth-down pass in the end zone to preserve Georgia Tech's 28-22 upset of No. 17 Virginia Tech on Saturday.
