    Jesus 'Bobo' Wilson's ban lifted

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher announced Monday receiver Jesus "Bobo" Wilson's indefinite suspension, which stemmed from a June theft of a scooter, has been lifted.

Wilson missed the Seminoles' season-opening 37-31 victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday, although he traveled with the team and dressed for the game.

    Report: FSU begins investigation

Florida State University is conducting its required investigation into quarterback Jameis Winston in relation to the alleged 2012 rape of a female student, according to a USA Today report.

An attorney representing Winston's accuser told USA Today that FSU is following through with its Title IX investigation and that school officials interviewed the woman for the first time in early August. She initially reported the alleged rape to police in December 2012.

Top-ranked Florida State routs The Citadel for 18th straight victory

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston had no problem getting the ball to just about everyone.

It was a sign that the top-ranked Seminoles (2-0) may be ready to put to rest some of the questions about their youth. They had 10 different players catch a pass and seven had a rush in a 37-12 rout of lower-tier FCS opponent The Citadel on Saturday.

Michael Brewer tosses 2 TDs as Va. Tech knocks off Ohio State

Urban Meyer knows that if things don't get better soon his Ohio State Buckeyes might just face more defeats down the road like the one they were handed in front of the biggest home crowd ever Saturday night.

Michael Brewer passed for two touchdowns and Virginia Tech's defense stood tough at the end and the Hokies stunned the eighth-ranked Buckeyes 35-21.

Clemson scores most points in 33 yrs in rout over South Carolina State

This was supposed to be a chance for Clemson to recover from an opening day loss. It turned out to be a day for the record books.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was so happy with the way his team played in the No. 23 Tigers' 73-7 win over South Carolina State on Saturday that he wanted to revel in it for just awhile longer before thinking about top-ranked Florida State ahead in two weeks.

No. 25 Louisville steamrolls Murray State 66-21

Bobby Petrino was glad to see Louisville pile up points the way he envisioned.

Having underclassmen contribute to the team-wide effort against Murray State made the first-year Cardinals coach feel even better.

Leading the way was freshman backup quarterback Reggie Bonnafon, who ran for two touchdowns and passed for another as the No. 25 Cardinals scored on nine straight possessions in a 66-21 victory over the Racers on Saturday night.

QB Tyler Murphy, Boston College run over No. 9 USC

Fans wearing red bandannas stormed the field in a raucous celebration of Boston College's first victory over a top 10 team in a decade.

Inside a hushed Boston College locker room, Eagles coach Steve Addazio awarded game balls to the family of Welles Crowther, a Sept. 11 victim and hero who inspired the red bandanna theme, and another to quarterback Tyler Murphy for leading BC to a 37-31 victory over No. 9 Southern California on Saturday night.

Virginia upsets No. 21 Louisville with late 42-yard field goal

Henry Coley thought he had cost Virginia an upset of No. 21 Louisville.

And then, the Cavaliers got another chance.

"It was magical," Coley said of a fumbled punt by Louisville that Kelvin Rainey recovered at the Louisville 25. Four plays later, Ian Frye's 42-yard field goal lifted the Cavaliers to a 23-21 victory over the Cardinals.

FSU to sit Jameis Winston for half

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has been suspended for the first half of Saturday's game against Clemson after he was seen shouting an obscene sexual phrase on campus Tuesday, the latest incident in which his off-field behavior has created problems for the team.

FSU interim president Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox denounced Winston's "offensive and vulgar" behavior in a statement Wednesday to announce the punishment.

"As the university's most visible ambassadors, student-athletes at Florida State are expected to uphold at all times high standards of integrity and behavior that reflect well upon themselves, their families, coaches, teammates, the department of athletics and Florida State University," the joint statement said. "Student-athletes are expected to act in a way that reflects dignity and respect for others."

Karlos Williams' 12-yard OT scamper helps No. 1 Noles survive scare

No. 1 Florida State seemed destined to lose with its Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jameis Winston standing on the sideline, suspended and relegated to cheerleader.

Sean Maguire hung in with an up-and-down effort as Winston's replacement and Florida State escaped with a 23-17 overtime victory Saturday night over No. 22 Clemson, but every miscue by the backup-turned-starter was a reminder that the face of the program was wearing street clothes and a ball cap.

    FSU reinstates Jameis Winston

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said Jameis Winston's one-game suspension "hit home" with the Seminoles' quarterback.

"Tremendously," Fisher said when asked how missing Saturday's 23-17 overtime win over Clemson affected the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. "I think you could see it on the sideline ... [but] he was a great influence for Sean [Maguire] and the other guys on the sideline. It was not for show or go. It was something heartfelt. I think it hit home, there's no doubt."

Threats made to Tigers' Ryan Norton

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney says center Ryan Norton received threatening messages on social media after his bad snap in a loss to No. 1 Florida State last weekend.

Swinney said Tuesday there's no place for people who send threats to college students for making mistakes in a game, and that those who do are not "real fans."

"Coach [Chad] Morris told me [about the threats] last night," Swinney told reporters. "That's disappointing. I think he deleted his account. It's a shame that young people have to deal with that kind of stuff. Nobody wants to make a bad snap.

Mario Edwards Jr. out vs. NC State

Top-ranked Florida State suffered another loss along the defensive line Thursday when coach Jimbo Fisher ruled out defensive Mario Edwards Jr. for Saturday's game against NC State.

Edwards, a junior, is dealing with a concussion that occurred in the first half of last weekend's overtime win against Clemson. He did not play in the second half.

FSU rallies from 17 down, tops NC State in Jameis Winston's return

Jameis Winston didn't sound worried about the fact that Florida State had to fight the entire way to stay unbeaten at North Carolina State.

Instead, the Heisman Trophy winner -- returning from a one-game suspension -- focused on how the top-ranked Seminoles keep finding ways to win when things aren't running smoothly.

Winston threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns to help FSU rally from 17 down to beat the Wolfpack 56-41 on Saturday night, extending the nation's longest active winning streak to a program-record 20 games.
