Over the last few weeks, I have noticed this particular forum getting a lot of guests through, I assume just browsing the site. If you are a Sonics fan or just enjoy basketball in general, I highly encourage you to sign up and enjoy the experience that is JBB! Sincerely, Nick (Supersonic) --------------------- JustBBall Moderator
Cheers Supersonic Thanks for the invite Nick, might just take you up on that. Generally speaking I'm more of a reader than a speaker, but theres nothing wrong with sharing an opinon from time to time - right? Thanks again - Aidan.
It depends, you'll get jumped on by our resident madman if you dare criticise Flip. But welcome anyway
...or you may catch hell by our resident sweetheart if you criticize Luke Ridnour's game or Bobby Swift's physical appearance.

Sherell Ford and Eric Snow, the forgotten draft class.
I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to use Dontonio Wingfield but it wouldn't fit. Figure this one is a more than acceptable alternative. Got no criticism to aim at either Luke or Swifty the record speaks for itself, although wouldn't it be nice to see how Al Jefferson might have turned out studying under professor Fortson? I'm just saying..... Anyway thanks again for the welcome folks. p.s. How in the world does one go about making an avatar?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Iron Shiek:</div><div class="quote_post">...or you may catch hell by our resident sweetheart if you criticize Luke Ridnour's game or Bobby Swift's physical appearance.</div> Aha, touche.
Absolutely not. Apart from the fact I find Hewitt amazingly irritating and arrogant (he's not only from my home country, but also from Adelaide which is my city), I don't really root for Australia much at all, only in basketball and soccer really. Hell, my favourite tennis players are James Blake and Guga Kuerten, and one of my biggest sporting idols was/is Pistol Pete Sampras.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting sabi:</div><div class="quote_post">New Sonics' fan in this forum... what's up?</div> Not a lot really, trades aside it's been a pretty ho-hum season. bring on the draft.
Yeah, cheers Nick. I visit a few sites around the net mainly in a read only role. I am in NZ and our NBA coverage is limited, just a coupla games a week, hardly ever the Sonics, plus NBA Action (highlights). So my access to my favourite team is based mainly on news reports, blogs and forums and as such my opnions are shaped by them too (sigh!). I am a true visitor. This season has been ho-hum, but improved outta sight with the addition of Wilcox and Watson. Hill mentioned we need another shooter, but a defensive wingman and a defensive centre were bigger priorities I would have thought. Finally, my uneducated 2 cents worth...
What's up with people in Oceania and the Sonics? It seems every Sonics fan is from either Australia or New Zealand. What got you guys into Sonics basketball?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Locke:</div><div class="quote_post">What's up with people in Oceania and the Sonics? It seems every Sonics fan is from either Australia or New Zealand. What got you guys into Sonics basketball?</div> I have noticed that, Locke. Its kinda lame I suppose, but I started to follow Seattle in the early-mid nineties when Seattle music was kickin' ass. What relationship I saw between Chris Cornell and X-Man and then Kemp and GP doing their superhero act I'll never know. That is as superficial a reason to support a team as I've heard, but Sonics bball is pretty addictive - frustrating, but addictive. Besides, everybody else was Bulls this, Bulls that. Go the underdog! It's the New Zealand way.
Everyone in Australia in the mid nineties supported Orlando, Charlotte or Chicago. Every single basketball jersey around was Jordan, Shaq or Larry J. I just loved The Glove.
