Frustrating the way it ended, but after the poor game in Calgary if I said we'd get 5 of the next 6 points on the trip we all would have signed up in a second.

If we take care of business at home the next 3 games we should be the 2 in the Met and host the Flyers.

Tomorrow could be a huge day. Philly is at Boston. The Bruins have lost two straight and would clinch the East with a win. I am sure they want to get back to their winning ways, and clinch at home tomorrow. And we host the Sens tomorrow night, who are out of it and playing the 2nd game of a back to back. If we win and the Flyers lose it just about locks it up for us.

That is what it is all about. Who cares about clinching a playoff spot IMO, that has been a lock for weeks now. It is about clinching the 2 spot in the Met and getting home ice round 1.

If we get 4 of our remaining 8 points we are sitting with 95 points. That would mean the Flyers would need 9 of their 12 points available since we own the TB at the moment. And with our next 3 games at home against the Sens, Sabres, and Canes we really have no excuse at this point not to lock up the 2 in the Met division within the next few days. And if tomorrow goes as planned we can just about lock it up then.

If we win and the Flyers lose tomorrow it is just about done. We'd be 6 up and the Flyers would only have 5 games left. So we'd be just about locked in. Tomorrow is extra big when you look and see the Flyers host the Sabres and then play at Florida after the Bruins game, so they should win two straight at least after Boston. So let's go Bruins tomorrow, and then we beat the Sens at night hopefully, and home ice here we come.

This team is really coming together now. It will not be easy, but this team does have a chance to do some damage in the playoffs if we play our game, Hank is Hank, and Nash/MSL show up.

Yeah, the BJ's have gotten to the heels of the Flyers no doubt. Philly, with their schedule after tomorrow and the TB, should still get the 3 spot worst case, but now CBJ does have an outside shot at it.

And what I have really been focused on is home ice round 1 Al. I have thought for a long while it would be the Flyers, but either way the key is getting that home ice round 1. That has been my 100% focus since we beat CBJ really. That's the big one.

In terms of Philly and CBJ...I think I rather play CBJ gun to my head, but either way if we get home ice I feel good we would win a long series against those teams (assuming McDonagh is back for game 1).

Chuck no doubt your attention was 2/3 seed...but what I'm saying is still dime season left. I wouldn't mind seeing the jackets in round one. Would that mean a Pitt Philly or philly boston series...win win for us

Agree Al. Yeah, the last team the Pens want to see is the Flyers. It would be a win win for us if the Flyers fell to a WC spot, but I don't see that happening.

The Flyers schedule gets easier after tomorrow at Boston, so I think they hold on. That is a big game for home ice tomorrow. If the Flyers get beat tomorrow I think we are in an awesome spot to lock up home ice soon, and pretty much would be locked in barring us going 1-3. So let's go Bruins big tomorrow, and they have something to play for trying to end their two game losing streak and a win in regulation locks up the East for them.

just checking the schedule of both teams.....and this caught my eye

    "Sat, Apr 12 @ Florida 7:00 PM FSOH 2,065 available from $4 "
Hell I can fly down and watch the game and fly back for less than buying a ticket to see my beloved Rangers lol

Let's face it. AV put Girardi and Staal on the ice for 27 to 28 minutes
last night. Girardi was sucking air at the end of this game. Missed
    McDonagh big time last night.
    Happy with this point.

Yeah, that's it cage. We played a strong game IMO. Again 5 of 6 points after the no show in Calgary, we all would have signed on for that.

Let's hope tomorrow goes the way we want (Boston beats Philly and we beat the Sens), and we can get a little rest before the playoffs start.

I agree Al, would like to pay columbus first at home and watch the flyers and pens beat the shit out of each other. Who knows then if that scenario results in us playing at home in the 2nd rd against the flyers.:clap::clap:

not a good loss, in the playoffs this shit cant fly. If you have a lead with a minute to go and the goalie pulled you have to finish it off

I'd be a little wary of wanting Columbus instead of Philly.

Do you EVER have anything good to say struds? For the love of god the team has won 7 of 9 overall, lost in a SO last night in the last game of a 4 game western swing, and we got 5 of 6 points after the bad L to the Flames.

    Come on bro.

Either way that would be a long hard fought series sc. We just need to get the 2 spot in the Met, and whichever team we play we play. We cannot control that. Will be what it will be.

My main focus has been home ice round 1, and tomorrow could go a long way in locking that down.

Chuck, what is wrong with saying the team cant give away leads with a minute to go? Home ice or not, that cant fly.

In the big picture there is nothing wrong with saying that struds, but you never balance it out bro. It is all negative all the time man. Now I really don't care, it is not my job to police the board...to each their own, but cheer up man. It isn't all bad. It is actually pretty good. If the Flyers lose at the Bruins tomorrow we are in an awesome spot for home ice round 1. That is great considering how this season started.

In typical Ranger fan fashion people were saying season was over and giving up on the team before Xmas. Think about that one. BEFORE XMAS.

Need to stay grounded, but this team could make some noise in the playoffs. No matter which team they play in round 1 (CBJ or Philly) that will not be an easy series, but winnable of course. And then maybe Pitt, which I think is winnable as well.

If McDonagh is back, Hank is on his game, and if Nash/MSL get going a little we will be a very tough out IMO.
