Next time I decide to post something, i'll pm you to make certain its acceptable first. I am angry. This board is full people with tens of thousands of posts and very few new people or fresh topics. It could be a place for all kinds of blazers related talk but its not - its the same stuff over and over. It's old and tired and not accepting of valuable new members that would bring life to the board. Why would new people post here? To get called "kid"?

Btw, you know me and don't know it. You could be my kid.

You should look at this forum as kind of a getaway.... You can't take anything these cats post serious. And if you are old enough to be my dad, you're gettin' up there!

It's the off season and fresh topics are few and far between. If you have any or any ideas for some it would be great if you were to post them.

And I agree with you about needing some fresh blood around here.

Seriously, I mean no offense when I refer to someone young enough to be my kid as "kid". In fact, I usually mean it an affectionate way. I play basketball on multiple teams where none of the other players are even half my age - I'm older than their parents. I get along great with all these guys. They're great guys and I enjoy playing hoops with them. I don't get offended when they call me an old man and they don't get offended when I call them kids, because it's all meant in jest. Some of the conversations we have are quite laughable due to the age disparity.

I also work with a lot of guys less than half my age and get along with them great. I enjoy being around young people and the energy and enthusiasm they bring. In person, I'm a very laid back, easy going guy. I'd be willing to bet none of the younger guys I play ball with, or work with, have ever called me an asshole behind my back.

Lighten up a little. You'll enjoy life more.

There are many other Blazer boards. Oregonlive, realgm, espn, club blazers, pro sports daily, I am a trailblazers fan, inside hoops, basketball forum, nba.com, nw sports beat, blazers edge.....Maybe you should go there if you are unhappy here? I think it's silly to stay in a place that makes you so unhappy. Maybe start your own forum?

Not sure if there are any old timer leagues here in PDX. I just play in the regular open leagues. I play on teams in the B, C and D leagues. My role varies depending on the quality of my teammates. On the better teams, I don't look to score much. I did plenty of scoring when I was younger. So, I let the younger guys (the kids) take most of the shots and I focus more on setting screens, rebounding, passing and defense. It's all good. I like playing with the younger guys. I always get in a good run and it helps keep me in shape.
