<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Buckets:</div><div class="quote_post">The Raptors should trade Alston but for another PG, look at who we have at the moment. Alvin Williams coming back from injury and Jose Manuel Calderon, a rookie from a Euro league. Ukic was huge around draft time, why hasnt he been signed yet? </div> He signed with a Spanish team in Europe. He will probably come back in 2-3 years.
I'm surprised a GM would make those statements public. It lowers the value of Alston, and it makes it very uncomfortable if the right deal doesn't come along. There should be no rush for the team to unload him, because he will have more value when the deadline approaches and a team on the bubble to make the post-season looks to add some depth.
Rafer is an exciting fancy player that plays happy and enjoys himself. I remember with the Heat he was the man its sad to see hes not liked up there in toronto.

He does some stupid stuff that causes people and fans not to like him as a person and/or player. BTW this title is somewhat misleading...
I agree the title is misleading. BUt I odn't htink Toronto fans don't like him, most of the dislike centres around Rafer's attitude/erratic behaviour., and his run ins with coach. I personally thought the media blew it out of porportion(but look @ my avy and sig, I'm biased). I think Rafer was expected to do unrealistic things(a bit too much) and think he can really step up this year. I think he can eventualy become an excellent player.
i think Alston, Calderon and Jones would be a good point guard lineup, but hey what are the chances in getting Damon Jones?, like close to no chance.
