This... You could tell when the starters aren't closing games like they did earlier in the season. Too many minutes takes its toll like so many have been trying to say earlier in the season. But I don't know why so many are upset really. I mean who really thought we would have a 6 point lead with 4 minutes to go in the game? I bet many thought we were gonna get blown out. I'm pretty happy we were even in this game. Memphis is a better team and we played them hard in the road.
Yes advanced scouting helps; but we had three starters getting the shots they wanted and shot poorly. Memphis d had nothing to do with missing wide open shots, IMO.
So you think this loss had more to do with the other team putting our offense where they wanted us to shoot, or that our offensive shooters weren't hitting the shots they normally make?
I think it was a combination, but Memphis put us in positions on offense that we aren't quite as comfortable with
We led until the subs played extensive minutes throughout the 4th quarter, and maybe in the 3rd it seemed. I haven't checked. Stotts threw the game.
