Cam could have gotten A piece of the last shot, I know he didn't see it but he has to fight harder to see pucks
The 2nd goal is definately one he needs to stop. We'll see how he now does in games 3-5 which he hasn't had before. Maybe there's a little more nerves knowing he's the guy right now. It would be nice if they could help the guy out offensively.
At Toronto, at Colorado, at Arizona, at Isles. In theory the Leafs and Zona should be wins. Avs and Isles hope to split, but without Hank maybe 1-3 would be good. Canucks, at Sabres, BJ's, Flames, Zona should be a good stretch of 5 for us though. Should win 3 at least, and hope for 4. Then hope Hank is back soon after because we have a crazy hard 6 game stretch starting on the 28th at Philly. 5 of those on the road. If Hank misses all those games we are in trouble IMO.
This is all thanks to that idiot McDonagh who couldn't keep his stick from lifting Hanks fucking mask up
chuck, you make no sense. They are 1-1-1 with cam in net. Not sure how you can say he cant be counted on.
Here is what I know, out of the 6 goals Cam has let up in the past two games Hanks stops at least 3. Now with that said it isn't fair to compare Cam to one of the best 2 or 3 goalies in the world. So I will say 2 of the goals Cam allowed the past two games need to be stopped. 1 or 2 others could have been stopped. To me the bottom line is I don't have faith in Cam to make the big stop. I feel if we don't play pretty much perfect D and give the other team decent chances they will score goals. Like I said you can step up your game when Cam plays 1 out of 8 or 10 games, when he plays 14 of 15 it doesn't work like that. We are going to need to score more with Cam in goal, but considering we got 2 goals, and 1 in the last minute, against poor on D Dallas my hopes for that are low. We better score at least 3 at Toronto or we will lose there as well...might even need 4 there.
First off I am not going to blame McDonagh, that was a crazy one off type of play. As for Cam, I said it before the Preds game that I didn't think he could be counted on. Maybe I will be proven right and maybe I will be proven wrong, I don't know. All I know is since they said Hank is out for minimum 3 or 4 weeks we are 0-1-1 and he has allowed 3 goals in each game, and I think 3 goals he should have stopped. So far I think I have been right, but it is two games, so I could still be very wrong. Hope I am.
You're seeing why Cam is a backup goalie. We're spoiled having Hank just like any other team with a net minder of that caliber. Look it was a freak accident with what happened with Lundqvist. I'm more upset with the fact that Mcdonagh's overall play has been below average all season. I wouldn't be shocked to hear that shoulder needs surgery after this season.
They likely wouldve lost in the SO anyway so at least the salvaged a point, with Florida getting one they need to keep them at bay.
Overall the team defense outside of Lundqvist helping is shaky. They give up alot of plays at the net because they're generally undersized and not overly physical.
I totally agree Mess. I am not mad at McD because of a freak play, I am mad at McD because he hasn't had the season any of us expected. To me this also clearly shows why as I have been saying for 3 years now we MUST go all in with Hank. The guy is 32 now, he has what 3 or 4 top years left. It is stupid, yes that is the word stupid, to sit back and wait and worry about 3 and 4 years from now as our all world goalie is 32. Flat out stupid. Hearing and seeing Hank talk today I feel better. I know the injury will still dictate, but he said he feels fine. I expect he is back by worst case early March, if not sooner, which is good. And I cannot see him not being back for at least the last 15 games or so, which should set him up nicely for the playoffs.
Oh no Step, I said once they announced he was going to be out for 3 or 4 weeks minimum. No one knew the deal on Hank until Friday afternoon. That Boston game was just like every other one off game that Cam starts every 8 or 10 games. The team in front of him was great that night. Since it was official that Cam was the starter he has allowed 6 goals in 2 games, and 2 or 3 he should have stopped.
Yup, they just can't fool around with veins and arteries in the neck. Hopefully it's a 3-4 time frame instead of 4-6 week.
And as usual I disagree sc. We know you hate the D, that is clear. The D was fine today. You cannot get on Cam for an awful goal and a questionable goal and then kill the D. The other Dallas goal was a 5 on 3. Yesterday the D was fine outside of one long shift. And another soft goal by Cam ended it. I also do not agree on Boyle and Stralman. I think Boyle has been okay, but I MUCH rather have Boyle for 2 years than Stralman for 5 years, and it isn't close IMO. For 2 each...yeah I take Stralman, but not 2 for 5.
