<div class="quote_poster">Quoting iwanalik_hunt:</div><div class="quote_post">switch the players respective teams and it aint even close, billups would`nt get those numbers on the warriors and davis would blow up if he played with 4 all-star calibre teammates</div> Davis would be a problem in Detroit, the last thing you need on the Pistons isa chucker. His style of play would not suit the Pistons's TEAM game. If Chauncey was on the Warriors his numbers would be just as good as they are now, likely better as he would be given more freedom to do what he wanted. Chauncey is a good playmaker and would get assists on whoever he is on. Has nothing to do with how good his team-mates are.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting iwanalik_hunt:</div><div class="quote_post">LMAO now thats a good one</div> If you knew or played the game you would realise when you are in a system where you are free to do what you like you can get assists no matter how good the players you play with. You already got owned with the "last 5 games" theory now you are moving onto "well Baron If he played with 4 all-star type players" c'mon now, you are trying to discredit a guy just because he plays on a contender with good players around him. Whats next? Tim Duncan is only the best player in the game because he has two all-star calibre players in Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili? please...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">The only one who could make a case to be better than Billups right now is Steve Nash. Thats It, no one else.</div> Steve Nash, Gilbert Arenas, Tony Parker...
Billups is a better all around point guard than Nash, but Nash fits his team better as does Billups, IMO. Davis and Kidd are better point guards right now. Here's my top 5 (6) Kidd Davis Billups Nash Parker/Cassell

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kensaku:</div><div class="quote_post">Steve Nash, Gilbert Arenas, Tony Parker...</div>First and foremost, Gilbert Arenas is a 2 guard at the 1 spot. He doesn't get a lot of assists, only 6.0 per game, which is merely respectable. He shoots a lot, note that he is #9 in FGA and #2 in 3PTA. Plus, no real point guard would average 28 ppg. The only reason he plays the point guard is because he's too small to play the 2.
The only reason Arenas plays PG is because he's the best passer on the Wizards. The only reason he takes so many shots is because he's the best scorer, shooter, slasher, and everything that has to do with scoring except inside scorer on the Wizards. What Baron needs to do is stop taking so many shots when he's not making them. I love the guy, very good player, can carry a team, make them better, and is a leader, but what in the world is he thinking taking so many three's?The impressive thing with his assits is he's averaging 9.7 APG to 3 TPG, about 3.2 A/T ratio. Nash who is the only guy beating him in APG is averaging 10.4 APG to 4 TPG. Baron is seriously one of the most talented PG's in the league, but he has the worst shot selection IQ since Antione Walker on the Celtics. If he took a pact to not shoot a three unless the team desperately needs it for 15 games, and that's not when they're down 8 points in quarter #2 and with a player in his face, that's 4th quarter close game situations, or if he's open, and not relatively open, OPEN. If he did that, the Warriors would probably win 1 or 2 more games than normal in the stretch. If he played offense like Wade does [mid-range and slashing], cause he can get in the lane at will if he wants to, he'd be an even better player because it opens up even more playmaking oppurtunities. He also needs to get out of that free throw nonsense, it's not like he doesn't know how to shoot either. Billups this season has been the best PG in the league. He has a what, 4.7 to 1 A/T ratio, averaging 8.8 APG, he's shooting very good percentages, 19 PPG, he's clutch, he PLAYS DEFENSE, and good defense too [obviously with the help of Ben and Sheed], and yes his team is good, but they're tearing it up. If this guy isn't an All-Star over Vince, Arenas, Redd, yes, the bigger names, I'll have to talk to the coaches. 1) Chauncey Billups - Nothing needs to be said. Not the best scorer, but scores well, not the best shooter but shoot well, not the best passer, but passes well, and most efficiently, playing as the best defender. 2) Allen Iverson - I don't wanna hear he's not a PG, he's playing there, and doing well 3) Steve Nash - turnovers up to a uncharacteristic level, still good percentages, and double double with assits 4) Baron Davis - could beat Nash if he wasn't shoot 35% FG and 29% 3PT 5) Jason Kidd - since he decided to go back to good Jason the past week 6) Gilbert Arenas - part of it is his team, and the system, but it's not looking too good 7) Sam Cassell - we know what he can do 7) Chris Paul - is sick Cassell is the savy veteran, but Paul is just too sick.
It doesn't matter if Arenas is not a true PG, he plays the position and makes plays for his team. Therefore, he is one of the top 5 point guards in the league and top 10 players in the league.
