Baron finished 1st in the league in steals, winning his first steals title, 2nd in total 3 pointers made, 4th in assists behind Jason Kidd, Stephon Marbury and Steve Nash, 6th in scoring behind Tracy McGrady, Kevin Garnett, Peja Stojakovic, Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce, and 8th in minutes per game. In comparison to Cassell, he led in points(22.9 to 19.8), rebounds(4.3 to 3.3), assists(7.5 to 7.3), steals(2.36 to 1.26), and blocks(.4 to .22), a pretty convincing case. Baron was the 7th All-NBA selection in Hornets history, behind Larry Johnson(2nd team in '93), Glen Rice(2nd team in '97, 3rd team in '98), Anthony Mason(3rd team in '97), Eddie Jones(3rd team in '00), and Jamal Mashburn(3rd team in '03). His steals title was the second major statistical title won in team history, behind Eddie Jones, who also won the steals title in 2000. For the past five years, the only other players besides Allen Iverson to win a steals title have been Hornets.
