    The Law is "punching is not allowed."
    I've seen players thrown out for some weak ass "punches".
    Those seems much less egregious than intentionally poking someone in the eye.

    After the incident I said out loud "This better not be a double-tech."
    Right after I said that, they announced double-techs.

    I would like to see the NBA adopt suspensions of 1 Q / 2 Q and Full Game -- cause i think Barton was just poking at Seth and he hit him in the eye but Barton should have been ejected

    If i was the law for the NBA i would do 5k fine and 1 or 2Q suspension but what will likely happen IF anything is ...... 5k Fine and that is it and maybe Seth's T resinded

    In fact, there is no other logical explanation for poking someone in the eye, other than to blind them.

    MMA disagrees with you. Even in a full contact sport. Fighters get disqualified and even suspended for unintentional and intentional eye pokes.

    Its serious man. Punch a guy, he can still play. Poke a guy in the eye and he could be out indefintely, possibly permanently.

    Was the eye poke a punch? No. Can it cause more harm? Hell yeah it can.
