Probably the best battle. Big props to both guys. I have to give the edge to azn_iverson. He was just too funny. I just saw azn_iverson's line about me.
Azn-Iverson Dammmmmmnnnnn. THis one was tough, real close. Air Fresh had better rebuttals and switched up the flow more. But I give the nod to Azn-IVerson. Some of his lines had me think "how did he think of that"
I'm voting for azn_iverson. Both of you were consistent over a hell of a lot of posts, and I got to give you credit for that. Even though azn contradicted himself a few times near the end, his punchlines were among the best in the first round. I thought he did a good job of going after everything in Air Fresh's rebuttals and still throwing in a few extra bombs.
I got Air Fresh. I think Air Fresh came out strong at the start, but azn came back a bit in the end. Air Fresh was just a little better over the course of the battle. He had some lines that azn couldn't even come back at, while I thought azn was basically throwing words together just because they rhyme at some points.
I'm voting for azn_iverson becasue he had alot of sick disses and references to other posters or NBA players. This was by far the best first round battle though, props to both of you.
Ok, I'm gonna vote on this as I read along the thread and judge you guys on each of the verses and I'll say who I thought had the better verse and tally it up at the end to determine the winner. Since I am judging this in-depth, I will be expectedly harsh at times so don't take what I say personally. I wanted to make the voting fair for Air Fresh because I unfairly voted based on one verse last time. <u>Verse 1: </u> Vote for Air Fresh, it was a nice rebuttal. Azn's rhymes were too simplistic at times and Air Fresh easily won the first verse. Vote: AF <u>Verse 2: </u> - not feelin the repeated mom disses from azn_iverson or the rebuttal mom disses from Air Fresh either Azn: "even if you were with my mom i cant imagine you ready to spoon unable to find a condom that fit so you used a waterballoon" That's a strange line. I don't think you should say "even if you were with my mom" at any point in a freestyle battle. The objective is to rebuttal, you can't accept his disses and then try to switch it up on him. Air Fresh: and just cause you mini me, dont mean I wont whoop ya no homo but Ill put that belt to ya I dont really have much else to say keep ya head up son tommorow is a new day Those lines are too generic I think. No lines really stood out from either verse. Vote: Tie <u>Verse 3:</u> Azn: damn you sprayed my mom, why you gotta spread the disease, im just lucky shes okay and doesnt have your herpes. Again, that's a no-no. your dissin' is a no-no, your delivery is just so-so your two homosexual dads look like fat joe and eric snow The punchline is pretty weak. its okay to be embaressed, you know my spittin is dope if you pulled down your pants to check your penis, you'd need a microscope That line actually made me laugh, so points for that. Vote: Azn <u>Verse 4</u> Azn: how can you say you havnt seen it, that movie is yours. as a matter of fact, i checked and you were one of the directors. Weak line. Doesn't make much sense. Felt the whole verse was weak. None of the personals really hit hard and were generic. AF: Generic lines everywhere in this verse as well but I thought your verse made a little more sense then Azn's. Some of his lines were kinda strange. Vote: AF <u>Verse 5</u> - AF you did two straight verses, I'm not counting your 2nd one. I didn't change my vote just because he challenged my decision...I re-read the thread cause I kind of generalized and voted before. Good battle tho and sorry for calling out a lot of your lines, but I felt I had to in order to pick a clear cut winner. Having said that, never again will I write an essay for a JBB rap battle vote (unless it's for the Finals lol)
This is really tough for me both of you guys did your thing this is like the Mavs and Spurs meeting up in the semi finals both of you guys look like you should be in the final. Air Fresh had some hot lines with his rebuttle the King James/Jbb my witness line was hot. I?m going to go with AZN_Iverson though he was consistent and his flow seemed better at times to me. There should be some way for you both to advance though.
