I heard that Nic said 3 months til hes doing drills and 5 months til he's 100% is the pre surgery timeline.

So our 10 man rotation for a while is

    Blake Miller
    Roy, Rudy
    Martell, TO
    LMA, Howard
    Oden, Joel

    still not too shabby.

    ... or ...

    Blake, Miller
    Rudy, Bayless
    Roy, Martell
    LMA, Travis
    Oden, Joel

You know your team is ridiculously full of talent when you can't even make room to sign a guy to cover for an injury.

You mean, play up his military service to show he's actually a good guy?

I've been wondering for a while if Roy has been purposely trying to make himself unsuitable for SF. He's got to know that the organization would like to play Rudy more, and the obvious way to do that is to bump Roy up to SF. But if he hates guarding bigger players, then this is one way to nix that idea. Paranoid of me? Absolutely. But just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Based on the way they are walking, the guy on the left is our GM. Are you calling for a trade? :devilwink:

Y'know, call me insane but I'd actually consider Jackson, if only because he really REALLY hates Kobe Bryant. And think of the Crazy vs. Crazy contest when we'd play the Lakers and put Jackson on Artest! How about this?

I wouldn't opposed to Stephen Jackson. I've always liked his game, he might be a little bit of headcase, but there's a lot worse out there. One nut isn't going to spoil them all and I think he'd be fine presence in the locker room if he came here.

Not if you ask some people. Apparently Andre Miller is going to be the downfall of this team.

Those people are also the one's who want attention and to be right. I let things play out a little longer than 6 preseason games before I make judgements of whether he fits or not.

IMO, Miller will do wonders for this team.

Am I the only one who looked at that trade. The Hollinger analysis says our record would improve 24 games...and Golden State's would increase 41! That doesn't seem quite right. First time I've ever seen it spit out grossly high and ridiculous numbers. Anyone....anyone?

But that being said, paying an aging SF that kind of money is something we want to avoid...at least him in particular with his attitude.

Yeah, it looks like the calculator broke in some fashion. Maybe the "N/A" for Webster's PER was treated as a "divide by zero?" ;)

that can't be... I think we should have 76 wins if we get those two!

So do the Blazers maintain a roster with 12 heathly players (knock on wood) and three players on the IR . . . or do they go out and get another body . . . can they go out and get another body?

Wierd having three players on the roster out for an extended period.

if we struggle (which seems likely) we will have to deal for a SF. Hopefully a legit starter

Pretty sure the answer is no. It went from a 12-man roster with 2 IR spots (always see players listed with tendinitis) to a straight up 15 man roster. We'd have to cut someone to sign another player. Even for a 10-day contract. That's the risk of having 15 committed salaries on the books for the season.

I can't believe when Batum was having shoulder problems last year that this issue wasn't addressed this offseason. The Doctors sure messed up with his problem. Pisses me off.

    batum = bafoon

The only positive I can glean out of this is that it will mean that Webster and Outlaw will not be on the floor at the same time as much. As I remember, according to 82games.com, any combination of players that included those two did very poorly.
