Nobody with common sense is comparing Nic to Dame. You should be comparing him to Gerald Henderson/Noah and Turner and Aminu. BeerBoy is correct.

Obviously Batum isn't Dame. He'd still be our third best player though, had we kept him. And we'd have a better team.

Plus, and this is important, Batum would take more pressure and attention off of Dame and CJ than anyone else on the team, and it isn't close. Which would also allow us to play them separately more without losing as much production; which might allow us to get and play a defensive specialist at one of the guard spots off the bench.

Exactly why we should of kept him. Lillard, CJ, Batum, Plumlee is a good starting 4. Probably gives us 5-8 more wins this season. Would still need a solid PF, but maybe could of found that if we wouldnt of spent $ on Turner and Meyers.

No doubt. Why the hell did any of you knuckleheads start comparing him to them?

If you go back, there were actual fools on here saying how much better Aminu is than Nic! Led by the same guy who said we'd win 64 games this season and finish first in the west.

I love Nico's game....he just dropped way off when we needed him most. He's a really graceful player in the Rod Strickland way..moves well...just didn't show much fire in the last playoff series. I was probably his biggest fan and I do miss that core....all of them.

    LMAO.

The Dame haters are getting out of hand. They say controversy and struggle reveals who you really are! And this season has shown some of yall to be just a little bit crazy.:smiley-crazy:

Me too! But I'd be even happier if we could undo the bone headed move that sent Nic away. Just reversing that move would improve the balance of the roster so much.

With forums in general but this one in particular, it's truly incredible how some will ignore mountains of evidence rather then admit that they were wrong.

Iirc, he was playing out that season with a busted up shooting hand, as was LA. Add on Wes's achilles and the team's season was truly snakebitten down the stretch. And then Neil turned the page and the board rejoiced...

I still watch those guys play when the Blazers aren't...Nico started out great and has tapered off ...still a swiss army knife guy.
