Bayless and his future role

    I see him as a starter, specifically on this Blazer team for several reasons.

    His lack of great ball handling skills will be masked next to not only Roy, but Batum who is showing a point forward mentality and ability.

    On Defense he and Batum can really protect Oden from getting in foul trouble. This is a very well balanced team with Roy as the superstar, LMA with the midrange game and lengthy switcher on D, Oden as intimidater, Batum to stretch the offense and lockdown on D, and JB to help with ball handling, draw fouls, score in bunches and play great D.

    If he can get his jumper to be a reliable shot the sky's the limit for him. Otherwise, he'll be a journeyman.

    I like Bayless a lot, but I wonder myself if he'll ever have the kind of game that blends in with the starters ... time will tell.
