I'd also like to point out that MIXUM is a sock-puppet account. He's used to get reaction from you and spark discussion. Anyone that listens to John Canzano knows how this manipulation works.

There's a difference between mods and site owners.

Those are good ads. Not like the evil ads here at S2.

    Or something.

BBF made money off this group too. In fact they went so far as to charge for avatars and lifetime memberships....then, they failed to service the needs of their customers. So they left.

Your comments about trolling and mods and board management is off base. The biggest trolls at BBF were themselves mods. And they treated this community like shit.

Denny and company are good hosts....as good as can be found anywhere, and they've made everyone feel welcome. Not only that the board programming here is far superior to BBF.

The business of running an internet message board isn't all that lucrative. There isn't anyone running a Blazer board that is rolling in dough. Anyone who is doing it is doing so because they enjoy it. Don't delude yourself. If SportsTwo makes a few bucks off the ads and can use that revenue to pay for bandwith and what not then good for them. I'd say they are spending that money well. And if they make a few dollars extra and can stuff it in an IRA or take a nice vacation, or even have a steak dinner and drinks then thats even better.

Your notion that there is some sort of conspiracy generated by the people who run this site is rubbish.

    Go piss up a rope.

Yes, how about some substance, Bonehead? You'd be more interesting. Which mods make money? How were we pushed out? How about something like this.

After waiting for an irritating 9/11-like event to happen, a PM campaign was mounted by a couple of instigators to tell everyone to move to the Sports2 board. The dozen or so who hung back (including HCP and me) received a strange error message when logging in, requiring re-registration. Since almost everyone was already gone, that was the final straw that motivated the remaining holdouts to stop posting. Looked like an inside job, with one infiltrator turning on the error message for those left.

Why don't you come up with some tale like that? No one would believe you. What an imagination I have.

Well, it's actually nice to feel needed and wanted and to know that the people who run this board understand business; you have to keep your customers happy if you want to keep them. Now, do you have any actual hard evidence that this was a deliberate manipulation or this your own opinion?

I'll ban/lock for the right price.

I don't want to say that I'm looking for a bribe but...meh, being crafty is too much work. Someone bribe me, please.

I think the implication is that GOOD mods get paid. Sorry.

I knew that one of you mods would post something about making money in the real world, and I was 90% sure it would be you, barfo. You're becoming predictable!
