On the contrary. I gave Eric a hard time when Bones started, And I did so without watching much of the show at all. I was a jerk for doing so, and I regret doing so now, and I happen to enjoy reading his posts, and I enjoy conversing with him on this forum. If people make money on that, good on 'em. At least I have the satisfaction of knowing that the person making money from my posts is not you.

Eric is a cool guy. One of the few of you internet dorks I have actually met in person. Let's just say he is very passionate about the game.

Can you channel some of that money you are making from me posting here to my account? I'm not sure how I am making you rich being unemployed and all. Maybe you could tell me how that works so I can get in on it.:dunno:

Seriously, Denny, who are the officers of the corporation? Is it owned by another corporation? Who are the officers of that one? Can you PM me the financial statements? All I need are the income statement and the balance sheet. You can skip the rest. I don't understand any of that stuff, so you're safe.

Wow,. Why do you seem to care so much, McBonehead?

The fact that this thread is not locked and we are currently discussing the pros and cons of another site besides the one we are on is testament enough to the fact that this is not BBB.net, and is in fact 5x better, at least, maybe even 9 or 10x.

I have no issue with leveling with you guys about S2.

S2 is owned by myself, MikeDC, Shapecity, and a guy who doesn't post here but does a lot of technical stuff behind the scenes, jamesk.

The site costs me money every month to pay for the hosting. The ads we have up are google ads, probably the worst paying ad network of them all. Displaying them is built into vbulletin, so it was a trivial thing to turn on. The revenue from the ads don't come close to paying back the cost of running the site, but I fully admit it is nice to have a $100 a quarter from them to do things like buying software upgrades or the video game software we're going to use to get the sim league off the ground.

S2 is an LLC for liability reasons, and I am the managing partner.

The mods don't get paid. I would love it if the site made enough money to pay them, and that would be where the money would go.

This site isn't about squeezing every nickel of profit out of its operation, it's about providing an open forum where people can be free to post what they like.

I am particularly pleased that S2 is a vehicle for fans to get to know one another and share the ups and downs of their teams. I think the KP meet and greet and other get togethers organized here make it all worthwhile.

I fully admit I care about page views, but not for the revenues. It means we have an audience.

Wow! You are right? Denny -- how about sharing some of the cabbage? A penny per post sounds about right? Where is my $7.55?

Exactly . . . I don't care if they make money. It doesn't cost me anything and they appear to appreciate our business. Hope they do make something for providing this service.

Personally I want to leave a tip.

It's not management that is a problem on this board . . .

Agreed. If I didn't enjoy posting on this board or reading other content, I wouldn't come here. I hope they make money to compensate them for the great service they provide.
