You realize that you don't have a Big10 team in the Rose Bowl, right? Boise's not getting a BCS berth this year. And are you assuming that OSU renegs on the Nicholls State game?

Rather than criticizing, I should just put down my own projection

    Rose Bowl:
Oregon (13-0) vs Nebraska (11-2). Oregon gets snubbed by the BCS computers, and has to settle for taking out their frustration on an overmatched Cornhusker squad, which earns the opportunity to lose in Pasadena for the second time this season. Oregon 55, Nebraska 21

    Fiesta Bowl:
Notre Dame (11-1) vs Lousville(12-0). After taking Notre Dame as the obvious replacement for KSU, Fiesta Bowl execs are faced with a cadre of undesirable options for the opponent. Undefeated Louisville provides a better-than-expected cap to the Irish's season. Notre Dame 27, Louisville 20

    Sugar Bowl:
Florida (11-1) vs Oklahoma(10-2). Florida gets the Sugar Bowl nod over 2-loss LSU and East-champ Georgia, and gives Oklahoma the opportunity to redeem their season. Sooners 26, Gators 17

    Orange Bowl:
Florida State(11-2) vs Boise St. (11-1). BSU travels cross-country to play the role of sacrificial lamb, as the 'Noles complete their best season since Weinke was under center. 'Noles 45, Boise 27

    BCS Title Game:
Alabama (13-0) vs Kansas State (12-0). The Tide cement their place as the most dominant college team in a decade by shutting down Heisman-winner Optimus Klein, while McCarron and company continue their ruthless offensive efficiency. 'Bama 31, KSU 10

I think Oregon would hang a lot more than 55 on Nebraska. In fact, I think Chip leaves his starters in for the whole game (shocking) and they run the score up on those fuckers.

It doesnt have to be a Big 10 Team, but traditionally the Rose Bowl has been very Keen on keeping the matchup to strictly Big 10-Pac(8,10,12) except when they had to take another team (like TCU a couple years ago)

Boise St only has to finish #16 and ahead of one AQ Conference Champion. (Ohio State cant be conference Champ so that doesnt leave many other Big 10 teams to jump Boise St) I wouldnt say they arent getting a spot just yet.

But that was because you guys were in the championship game. I'm pretty sure that the Pac-12 and and Big 10 championship game winners will go to the Rose Bowl unless one (or both, but that's not happening this year) are in the BCS Championship game. So, with the way things are looking, the only way BSU makes it is if they get picked by the committee over OSU or some other Pac-12 team. I just looked up your BSU scenario (finishing top 16 and above an AQ champ). Their auto bid would take the place of an at large bid, not the Big 10 champion (so likely OSU would be left out, since they are the least sexy team out of FSU, Florida and Oklahoma)

sorry I was referring to two different points in my post. I agree that Rose Bowl will be Pac 12/Rose Bowl.

And the other point I was referring to was that Boise St wouldnt make a BCS bowl.

Well Ohio State could compete in the B1G championship game, but they can't compete for a bowl game. I have them winning out and no B1G in the BCS because it's a complete train wreck. I don't think even Nebraska could get in. Boise is some what of a media darling and if they finish 16 or higher they would get the nod to play in Pasadena.

And yes, I have K-state being upset once, probably to either TCU or Oklahoma State. Don't underestimate Mike "I am a Man" Gundy.

And no one walks out of Death Valley. To quote from Les Miles, "It was where teams with great dreams come to die", not to mention they will be hungry for revenge for last years debacle. And AJ McCarron is going to be carted off with injury, and whose to say Eddie Lacy won't get injured(again).

Hence I picked Oregon and Notre Dame. And we'll get a 1-loss SEC champ(before long they'll start claiming that they should be in their own division, like the South Eastern Champion Division, like the FBS or something) and the whining of "Well you never played an SEC team!" and "We won 7 of the last 8!" will never stop.

They, and PSU, are banned from the Big 10 Championship game. Even if they weren't, being an AQ conference automatically gets you a bid so they would have worked out some other way of determining who goes. A likely scenario would be, like Wheels said, BSU finishes top 16 (which could be higher than Nebraska or another Big 10 school finishes) and then they also get an auto bid. That means there is 1 less (or 2 less since ND would also be an auto bid) at large bid and given the options (Oregon State, Oklahoma and Florida), it would probably be Oregon State on the outside looking in.

Oh my mistake then. Well I don't think even a 2nd place B1G team can make a BCS berth.

AQ conference = BCS bid. Wheel's quote is saying that PSU/OSU could be labelled their Division champ, but they won't be in the Championship game. Since they won't be in the game, then the winner of that game gets in (even if they were 2nd place of their division).

    Rose Bowl:
Oregon State(10-2) vs Nebraska (11-2). The Beavers get their first BCS bowl in like, a while, and up against a scrappy Cornhuskers team. Vaz and Martinez duel, but the Beavers do Riley proud. 28-24.

    Fiesta Bowl:
K-state (11-1) vs Clemson(11-1). Klein getting injured this week is quite the dilemna, and the TCU Horned Frogs are on a roll with knocking off WVU. The ACC finally get a Bowl win, 35-33.

    Sugar Bowl:
Alabama (12-1) vs Oklahoma(10-2). Bama gets upset by the Aggies but manages to get the Sugar Bowl nod East-champ Georgia(though the SEC will bay like mules for not getting in), and Saban crushes Stoops under his heels. Tide 28, Sooners 13.

    Orange Bowl:
Florida State(11-1) vs Lousville. (12-0). The Cards are on the outside looking in, but go toe to toe with FSU proving they can play with the big boys...but comes out short. Noles win, 30-27.

    BCS Title Game:
Oregon (13-0) vs Notre Dame (12-0). Somehow, Notre Dame gets more media love than Alabama and manage to win out. Too bad their defense, while good holding down the Pro-style offenses of CFB, cannot hope to contain the Ducks. Chip rides to the NFL with a Crystal Football to his name: 35-24.

Media love doesn't matter enough to get Notre Dame ahead of Bama. They would have to climb up the human rankings and I don't see that happening.

Even if Notre Dame is 12-0 and Alabama is 12-1?

If that happens, there's no f'in way Notre Dame doesn't get in...

The thing is, do ya'll really see Alabama taking an L? The only way it looks like they'll take one will be if Florida or Georgia fires on all cylinders in the SEC title game.

No, I didn't notice that he had them with one loss. I don't think they'll lose. I think they win out, I think ND will take a loss. They looked very beatable again today. I also think KSU could take a loss depending on how injured their QB is.

I think Notre Dame will lose at USC, leaving Kansas State as the only contender. Notice how Kansas States backup QB hardly has any attempts, so they were obviously running up the score more than the Ducks.

It comes with a heavy heart to do these predictions now.

    Rose Bowl. Stanford vs Nebraska.
Hogan and company romp the Huskers, and we are greeted to more Bo Pelini MAD. Stanford wins, 31-17.

    Fiesta Bowl. Oregon vs K-State.
Two National Title hopefuls collide in Glendale. Oregon sweeps easily, 56-37.

    Sugar Bowl. Alabama vs Oklahoma.
A unique face off between two good teams, but the Tide with losing the SEC Championship Roll over Choklahoma, 28-12.

Orange Bowl. Florida State vs Rutgers.
Two great defenses, only one good offense. Seminoles win this, 21-14.

National Title. Georgia vs Notre Dame.
Georgia has all the momentum in the world after beating Alabama in Atlanta, but the Irish's D proves too much, and history is repeated as a freshman, African American QB from South Carolina wins the National Title and breaks the SEC stranglehold, 24-17.

    Cotton Bowl. LSU vs Texas.
LSU heads to Arlington and wipes out the Longhorns throughly and soundly, 38-21.
