If we are trading assets it better be for a BIG. I would probably lose my mind if the plan was to win with Dame/Beal/Simons as the core.

Now if they wanna trade him for Ant/Filler and we can use #7 to acquire a John Collins/OG/or use it on a Big then sure I’m all in lol

I'm not sure why you keep saying that. Ayton's efficiency numbers are significantly better than Nurk's. 60% FG% to Nurk's 50. .163 WS/48 to nurk's .114. 1.1 BPM to Nurk's 0.5. Pretty big differences. And those are career numbers; even bigger differences of you just look at last year.

I think Ayton is better as well. You can find stats that make them look similar and others that provide said gap. I believe the same could be done with CJ and Beal. Beal, younger than CJ, has shown he can score 30ppg in a season. CJ at the age of 30 has barely cracked 23ppg in his best season. 7ppg is pretty significant. Beal has been better in nearly every statistical category (yes there are exceptions), and significantly better in certain ones.

I'm surprised that people think these two are so similar. Having said that, I wouldn't give up half our team to get him. I also wouldn't dare say he's no different than CJ.

CJ just averaged more ppg in NO. I think Dame had a lot to do with CJs ppg

Beal had a 7% higher usage rate. Of course he scored more

CJ averaged 24ppg in NOP. He averaged 23ppg in 20-21. At 30 years old, that's not a substandard movement.

With Dame missing a lot of games this season, we saw CJ's FG% dip to his lowest mark since his rookie season. In 20-21 Beal averaged over 31ppg on a high FG% than CJ has ever had for an entire season, as a #1 option. The difference between shooting 49% as the #1 option vs 45% as a secondary option is significant, is significant to me.

We obviously disagree and either you are much higher on CJ than me (and the other teams around the league based on trade value) or you're super low on Beal. You may be right. CJ may turn into an all-star #1 option next season. I seriously doubt we'll ever find out how good Beal/Dame will be next to each other. I would trade Ant for him tomorrow though.

Beals 3pt percentage has been on the decline the last 6 years. And he's a very poor defender. No thanks.

He’s also the focal point of opposing teams defenses and is trying to carry the Wizards on his back.

To me he makes zero sense with our core and I can't see a world where he wants to be on our roster ..he's not a Klay Thompson at all ..I'd take Josh Hart at that position all day for the defense.
Beal would be a perfect Knicks target or Rockets target.

He played with Wall and Westbrook and they didn't go that far. He's also in the east ...I actually think he'd be better off staying in Washington

Washington probably doesn't do this, but would you even turn down a hypothetical trade (if it worked CBA wise) of Ant+Bledsoe for Beal?

They made it out of the first round their first three tries and nearly made the ECF.

Yes, Beal's on the decline. Beal next to Dame doesn't make our defense better and he's worse off the ball (you'd be trading a phenomenal 3pt shooter for a poor one). Beal has name recognition, but he guarantees we'll never contend with Dame and it'd ruin our future too. Meanwhile, Ant has the sort of upside that this team needs and is at least a really good fit off-ball next to Dame and competes defensively (can get through screens).

Yeah, just like Ant was this year when he put up his best numbers and shot 10% better from 3.
