Beavs @ BYU
12:30 (PT) on ABC / ESPN3
Both teams are without their starting QB's interesting!
BYU is getting their regular starter back. Hill was starting because Nelson was having back issues and wasnt playing very well. Hopefully the Beaver defense can hit him hard enough to hurt his back again!
...bet the UNDER?
...let's go Cody Vaz, let's go!
I'm gonna be so depressed if we don't win . Vaz! show us what you have
Both teams have good defenses, but I think ours is better.
We have a better offense, even with a back up QB... and they are using a back up (run first) QB.
Special Teams? Our FG kicker sucks! Dont know anything about their special teams.
They have the home field advantage.
I think we win. 14-6
Actually their FG kicker is worse than ours!
I think the Beavers defense will pick off Nelson's passes.
Yes, he is... BYU's place kicker has missed 3 XP's and a couple crucial FG's. His poor performance is a pretty big reason for BYU's two losses.
There's a good chance of that, but to be fair, four of Nelson's INT's came during the 2 games he was playing injured and really had no business being on the field in the first place.
You can talk about quality of opponents, but 13 straight quarters without a TD for BYU's opponents, might counter the idea that OSU has a better defense. I don't think there's much debate about the offense though; BYU is struggling to say the least. I'm curious to see how OSU's backup will fair.
I thought converting 4th downs was supposed to be difficult?
Not even a full page game thread. Must not have been that big of a game or victory.
Big victory. Vaz looked ok.
OK? I thought he looked pretty darned good.
he started the game off strong and ended it well but kind of struggled in the middle. overall I was very pleased with his performance, he made some throws I wasn't expecting him to be able to make. We got lucky, for once, on quite a few plays. This year has been special.
Definitely times he struggled. I give him props for leading us to a win. Hopefully his decision making improves against Utah.
I wish he was a few inches taller so he didnt have so many balls knocked down by the d line
...I am curious to know how this is considered a struggle?!
Did you watch the game? He had times he played great (especially first couple of drives when the game started). Dude had a fine 1st game, but I'm not going to act like he didn't have weak moments. I hope Mannion can come back after the Utah game.
BIG WIN! GO BEAVS! First time the Beavs have been 5-0 in over 70 years!
Vaz was great considering the circumstances. I expect him to only get better and be more comfortable next week vs. Utah.
