    I'm puzzled that the OP condemns Momons, but says he was raised Catholic. Surely, he is aware that many people consider Catholicism a cult, like Mormons.

    There are a lot of people that condemn the Catholic faith for worshiping Mother Mary instead of God.

    Interesting that the OP doesn't say whether he is still a Catholic, nor does he say whether his family is stupid for following Catholic traditions.

    I've always found that interesting as well, the way Catholics are treated. But mostly because they are the oldest surviving sect and they decided what books to include in the bible.
