Could or could not happen Hopefully that didn't offend someone, or hopefully a mod isn't too sensitive
I watched the Warriors decimate OKC last night. They have so many people that can score. They are relentless and pick a team apart from every angle. Even the 50/50 balls that happen to bounce their way end up in a shooters hand and he drops a trey on ya. Defense holds for 23.5 seconds only to miss a rebound that gets kicked back out to Thompson or Curry and they send the dagger every time. Demoralizing to say the least. The Blazers might get a game or two. But even that is stretching it.
Dude, are you seriously butt hurt because your "joke" got modded??? I didn't say a word at the time(but should have), however, in my opinion your "joke" was way, way out of line. If you can't see that, even after the fact.... I was going to go on, but never mind. Obviously, this is a waste of my time....
Ah so it was a test. I'm superstitious so I won't say anything until we have #8 seed locked up first! But you never know!!
Why was it out of line? I've told that joke on stage, and women laughed. Is this not a form of stage acting?
Perhaps a little different, because a comedy club and a discussion forum carry inherently different expectations. However, my only complaint is that the joke was moderated before I got to read the punchline. @SlyPokerDog sucks!
This is a basketball forum. Yeah, I mentioned I was a girl but is that permission to tell a dirty joke on a basketball thread?
Anyway, back to the OP topic. There are two significant differences between the GSW-DAL series from '07 and a prospective POR-GSW series this year: The Warriors had a massive coaching advantage over Dallas in that they were coached by Don Nelson, who had just ended an 8-year stint as the coach of the Mavericks just 2 years earlier, and was the mentor for the Mavericks' coach at the time, Avery Johnson. The Warriors beat the Mavericks 3-0 in the regular season series that year. Going into the playoffs, they had demonstrated conclusively that they had the ability to beat the Mavs multiple times, so there was reason not just to hope, but actually to expect that they would win the series. Neither of these things are even close to applicable to our potential matchup with the Warriors this year.
I wonder if Portland's rise has any impact on San Antonio's desire for the top spot? I can't imagine Portland would be their first choice for a first round matchup. I guess they still try for the #1 spot in case the get to the WCF.
Here is what happened: A new member says that they're female. MM decides to tell them a joke about a woman being sexually violated by her doctor. MM knows this is probably pushing the edge a little so he says if this is inappropriate let him know. 2 people flag the post. I see the flags, then read the post and the posts it was in reply to. I can see why it was it was flagged so I edit the post and did as MM asked by letting him know that it was inappropriate. Not a big deal. MM isn't in danger of being banned.
I think Popovich plays games with everything, but I think he doesn't want to play 4 road games against Golden State more than he doesn't want to play us.
We can dream but... 12 games left and we are outside of Denver. As soon as we actually clam the 8th seed then it all becomes real. Remember..... Clinton was supposed to win and we woke up to a Trumpo life.
The 'language/courtesy' standards on here fell off the shelf a while ago. Some people seem unable to post without multiple f-bombs and sh_t references. I know people who won't let their kids come on here anymore who are big Blazer fans because the language and etiquette has deteriorated so greatly. And God forbid someone disagree with an opinion or take. It gets personal in a real hurry from some people who claim to be very tolerant.
If Durant is still out/completely out of shape, we would maybe have a chance. If he's back and playing well then realistically we would never be able to defend against them.
