Chael easily maintains top control and wins another round.

Can definitely say that Chael looks like Chael, not the guy who fought Tito.

Chael was close to a head-and-arm triangle. Popped from mount into side control to try and secure it. Couldn't make it happen but hasn't given up.

20s left and this fight is a bit of a blue-baller.

Wand gets up after the bell visibly frustrated.

The crowd with literally no response to the fight being over. Chael's going to need to smooth this over with them.

Wand shoves Chael during his victory speech.

Chael says he hates New York. The fans give him a negligible reaction as they are mostly filing out. TBQH it didn't sound like a huge crowd.

Chael calls out Fedor after the fight. Also claims he tapped-out Tito Ortiz in under a minute.

Calling out a guy who lost is a bit fucked. I'm guessing he had that planned beforehand. Call out Ryan Bader!

I saw all of the televised fights for once!

    Heather Hardy def. Soccer Mom

Competitive fight. Hardy did not look like someone with 10+ years of experience on the big stage. Her opponent was set up to be knocked down but proved more durable than they were expecting. Yet, Hardy showed she could scrap. She looks great and her Harley Quinn-esque voice make for a marketable combination. Shame that Hardy is already 35-years old. Unless she improves a lot between fights they won't get the full benefit of her.

    James Gallagher def. Chinzo Machida

James Gallagher looked awesome! Not much else to say. Tapping out a Machida is an achievement. He can't talk like his mentor but he showed a lot of potential. On a night where everyone was meant to be talking about Aaron Pico, Gallagher stole the show. Not sure if Chinzo is a hobbyist or if he wants to have a full career in MMA. At 40 this is a crossroads type fight.

    Ryan Bader def. Phil Davis

Moments into this fight you could tell that tentative Davis and Bader were keen to repeat their performance in Sweden from a few years ago. This fight was a bit better but not much. They just refused to engage. They actually got a timidity warning from Big Dan. Come the fuck on, guys. Bader probably stole the split decision but Davis can only blame himself. They can't do a rubber match it would end MMA.

    Doug Lima def. Lorenz Larkin

This was a good fight. It wasn't the barnburner that people were hoping for. There were some exciting moments such as when Lima dropped Larkin in the second (?) round and had an opportunity to finish. Realistically this fight shouldn't have happened. Lima said he was hurt and couldn't fight Rory MacDonald who fought Paul Daley instead. When that fight was announced Lima suddenly accepted the fight with Larkin. Shenanigans. Lima/MacDonald is next and that fight should be great. Larkin/MVP would be cool, too, if MVP still won't fight Daley.

    Zach Freeman def. Aaron Pico

Pico stormed in and got caught with an uppercut. Freeman, claiming to be a BJJ World Champion in his victory speech (unverified), submitted him with a guillotine/D'arce choke. Fight was over within a minute. Certainly not the debut that Pico and BFC were hoping for but probably not a fight that will do any long term damage to the prospect. Freeman caught lightning in a bottle tonight. Probably won't get paid much for it, either. Don't see significant bouts for either of them on the horizon.

    Brent Primus def. Michael Chandler

Chandler rolled his ankle early in the fight and was on ice skates for the remainder. After a few too many flops the referee stopped the fight. There was some confusion as the fight should've been over but the ref had the cageside doctor inspect Chandler instead. In the end the fight did get stopped and Primus celebrated a whole lot more than he should've, irking Chandler, who just has bad things happen to him in the Bellator cage on occasion. A rematch is probably warranted unless Chandler has ligament damage.

    Matt Mitrione def. Fedor Emelianenko

Right hooks landed simultaneously about 50-seconds into the bout. Both fighters on their asses, Mitrione doesn't lose sight of his opponent and quickly jumps on a groggy Fedor, landing two or three monster punches and stretching him. Fedor proceeds to fight the referee for a few moments until he comes to his senses. Mitrione offers to meet Donald Trump at the White House afterward. A shocking series of events somewhat tampered by the overall strangeness of the night. Shades of Fedor-Hendo but this time there was no doubt that Fedor was done. He might be done forever after this one.

    Neiman Gracie def. Dave Marfone

    This fight happened. Gracie won.

    Chael Sonnen def. Wand Silva

Three round unanimous decision win for Sonnen who landed some heavy blows but mostly controlled from Wand's guard. This had all the makings of a grudge match but Sonnen felt Silva's striking power a few times and opted for a safer route. Not at all impressed with his call-out of Fedor afterward. How do you call out someone who got helped out of the cage 30-minutes prior? Wand will probably face some punishment for shoving Chael after the fight given the NYSAC's track record. Reminiscent of Daley-Koscheck but not nearly as bad. Uninspired ending to an otherwise memorable night. Sonnen still has some stuff left in the basement. I'm not interested in seeing Silva fight again as he's stiff as a door.

BFC's production values were high. Everything looked and sounded great. The entrances were nice. The Wrestlemania-esque LED ramp is cool (the UFC should steal that and go back to having a ramp/stage). I thought Mauro was good on commentary. Goldy was Goldy--either you like him or you don't. He says goofy things but seems a good bloke. I don't know how this PPV will do--some were expecting about 150k buys--and if it will lead to more PPV's. If Bellator is successful it is good for MMA. Hopefully they treat their guys right.

Fedor is calling for a rematch.

Dude... take a cruise with BJ Penn. Enjoy life.

If he really wants to fight, take the sonnen fight. I'm very doubtful Chael would be able to knock him out, so......
