Bellator 198: Fedor vs. Mir Allstate Arena, Rosemont, Il Paramount TV, 9 p.m. ET MAIN CARD Fedor Emelianenko vs. Frank Mir Emmanuel Sanchez vs. Sam Sicilia Neiman Gracie vs. Javier Torres Gerald Harris vs. Rafael Lovato, Jr. Dillon Danis vs. Kyle Walker
Guys like Big John pumping up Fedor/Mir as a dream fight that everyone wanted to see. I don't seem to recall this being talked about that much. Certainly not as much as Arlovski or Brock Lesnar was.
Maybe Werdum took some of the shine off it? A few years ago you could have said Fedor and Mir were the premier submission style heavyweights ever.

Bellator's pitch for this fight: Frank Mir is smart! Reality: Frank Mir charges into Fedor's punches and gets stretched in 30-seconds. Fedor vs. Sonnen... this timeline is unlikely but fascinating.
Darth starched King Mo in 15 seconds. Now moving on to the semifinals, so we have Sonnen vs Fedor, and Mitrione vs Bader in the finals. That Meathead/Darth matchup looks to be the true championship in my mind, but I can also see the winner of that coming out banged up and Bellator needing a replacement fighter in the finals. Lawal to his credit says he is going down to middleweight now. Some interesting matchups for him there. Shlemenko, a Mousasi rematch, and Halsey all look like entertaining fights.
