Ok so that's what you said? I clearly answered that already, not directly at you but it has been answered.

ill just copy what I just asked someone already that didnt answer in related to the Simmons doesn't need to spread the floor he can slash, dunk, etc.

"Secondly, it's not so easy to just make him a slasher and post him up when his free throw shooting is horrible. Did you also not see the Hack of Simmons the Hawks did, in which they clawed back from 20 points down to win the game? I didn't even point out that too, teams can just make him a huge liability by just hacking him in the 4th.

So if Simmons is slashing, teams will hack him and send him to the line, come on man. Post up, he can get hacked too. That is exactly why he didnt even want the ball in his hands in the 4th quarter during that series. Nate really exposed him. And you guys want him to play the role of our Draymond, how do you know he will do well playing the 4, guarding bigger guys on a regular base? Will his post up game, which is very limited basically a jump hook or fade away, will work if he is playing the 4 and having a big body defending him unlike PG's that defend him? His stats will suffer with us on top of that, he needs the ball in his hands 24-7 but that's not going to happen with Dame on our team.

Man, this type of NBA you need guys on the floor that can spread the floor, that's a fact! Say all you want about Simmons helping us on D, which I agree with, but it won't be enough to out weigh his warts on offensive and in crunch time."

so what is your answer to why shaq was so successful with zero outside game and poor freethrow shooting?

it can be done and it can work with a stud player with no outside game. That is a fact. It has been proven.

You see, why are you answering my question with questions?

you can’t answer mine that’s why. It’s a huge flaw of Simmons, it can’t be denied.

It worked for Shaq because he was the most dominant force in the game physically, ever! That’s why! And the times that Shaq did get hacked, he has actually quite of few times hit free throws when it mattered. He always use to say I hit them when they matter most. Simmons is no where near dominant like Shaq was. Simmons doesn’t even want the ball in the 4th he is shying away from the ball clearly. Now we are comparing Shaq and his flaws to Simmons?

Yes, I would trade CJ for Ben as I do think he would improve our team. However, I do respect what Shaq and The Round Mound say about improving his game.

Philadelphia 76ers players wanted to travel to Los Angeles this week to meet with Ben Simmons and spend time convincing their All-Star teammate to commit to the 2021-22 season with them, but they were informed not to come and that Simmons did not want to meet, sources tell The Athletic.

The core leaders on the 76ers — such as Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris and Matisse Thybulle — and most of the team were set to take a jet to see Simmons before being turned away, sources said. Multiple sources said Simmons didn’t want his teammates, some of whom he considers friends, to make the Philadelphia-to-Los Angeles commute out of courtesy because he won’t change his mind on wanting a trade.

The 76ers’ training camp begins this upcoming week, with Media Day on Monday.

Simmons has mentally checked out as a member of the 76ers, sources said, meaning whether or not he ever appears in Philadelphia this season the organization may never again receive the same dedicated player.

The three-time All-Star and two-time All-Defensive first-team member was nearly traded during last season in a package for James Harden before the Houston Rockets chose the Brooklyn Nets offer for Harden. Then the 76ers had a tumultuous finish to the campaign in a seven-game series loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference semifinals and post-Game 7 comments from head coach Doc Rivers and Embiid that added to a decayed relationship between team and player.

In mid-July, the 76ers opened up trade conversations surrounding Simmons and engaged with interested teams, as The Athletic reported.

So far, the 76ers have not received an offer they deem enough to move Simmons and the franchise has wanted Simmons back to rejoin an Eastern Conference contender. Philadelphia has no trade imminent, although teams are calling, according to sources.

Not to mention Doc... you can't have the team talking about how you're going to try and patch things up and at the same time have the head coach commissioned with the patching comparing the Simmons camp to election results deniers.

They should just take the best deal they can get right now and move the fuck on.

Thanks for that, not to come across in any way, but I would rather take advice from Shaq on Simmons then people sitting home on their couch.

One thing guys like to mention is Simmons can work on his faults, to a extend I agree but it becomes rather fuzzy when the X person (Simmons in this case) is scared to even fail! How is he going to improve his outside game and keep the defense honest if he is scared to even take it! Slash, dunk all he wants, etc, there is going to be times he needs to keep the offense honest and hit outside shots and if he doesn't that will hurt us more than you guys realized and soon down the road will be calling for Simmons head watch and see. That's my main point, he hasn't improved his game since coming to the NBA. On top of that. lets say he does eventually improve, how much time do we really have to wait for him, will it take him 1 season, 2 or even longer and if that happen on the flip Dame doesn't have time to wait.

Once again, I'll even play the other side and play like I am a Simmons fan boy like some here, yes there has been some examples of people improving their 3 point game that was rather horrible early in their careers.

Two come to mind right away, Rondo and Lonzo Ball, horrible to start their career but Rondo can hit them respectful now but it took him about 7 years and Ball has improved his shooting form a lot from when he came to the NBA. But one big difference between those two and Simmons, they aren't afraid to take it, you can't miss shots you don't even take and Simmons won't even take it. That's a big red flag between his head, and unless he fixes his mental aspect from all reports, I doubt Simmons all of a sudden becomes someone who is willing to shot them, let alone even make them.

    Have a good day fellas

he had plenty of fuck-up help within the organization and in the city

at this point, it looks like the 76ers are only left with trying to win the PR battle. They might with fans, but I'd bet they'll lose in the minds of most NBA players

They'll get a good player for him and probably one that can both score and defend.

I think Morey wants to die on the sword “We tried to trade you for Damian Lillard, but couldn’t, therefore just play with us”

Doesn't seem like that's going to be an option. If Simmons has been good with his money the dude could sit out as long as it takes.

Please no Ben Simmons here. The man has no motivation in basketball outside of getting paid. It looks like he has put no effort into improving at all just look at his shooting percentage from the free throw line and his refusal to shoot. On top of that he clearly would hate it in Portland and doesn't care about winning ever. I agree that moving CJ for a better fit is the right move for us but this would be a disaster.
