lol we have no idea of the true value of Simmons.

Going from talks about Ben for Dame to Ben for Wall has to be a kick in the pants for Sixer fans.

I'm sure Houston would be interested.

I can't imagine any way Philly is interested, makes more sense to have Simmons sit out and get DNP until the trade deadline.

Jesus, if Morey has to settle for taking on Wall, that's a disaster. There better be a FUCKTON of picks involved.

Disaster yes, but also hilarious. Sixer fans are right behind LA fans in my disdain. Them thirsting over Dame constantly was really annoying.

Also, there might be some juice to this. Perkins is VERY WELL connected to Klutch.

    But not to Morey, presumably.

The more I think about this the stupider it seems. In order to match salaries the Sixers would have to throw in $11M of salaries, so at minimum it would be Seth Curry, who ALONE is better than Wall.

I think they'd have to do something like this but I still don't know how this helps Philly now. They might think they can hold onto the picks until the off season and then flip Wall's contract and the picks for Dame if we're blowing it up.

They only have to throw in ~2.5M more to meet the 125% rule.

there would have to be a three way possibly, or Gordon going out as well to make the $ work. Not impossible, but difficult.

But moreso from a basketball and team-building standpoint, that is a horrible fit in Philly.

Like this should work in December once Green can be traded:

Yeah, there's no way in Hell Morey does that. He would literally quit first. The only plausible reason for this Wall stuff being leaked is a ploy by Morey to get others who are sitting around waiting for the Simmons price to drop to jump in now.

Wall for Simmons and Maxie or Thybulle works just fine... you can throw it into any trade simulator or just multiply the Simmons and Maxie contracts by 1.25 and that's greater than the Wall contract. Obviously Houston would have to also send out a shit ton of picks.

Yeah, I don't know how you sell that as a win now move... even with picks coming in from Houston. Morey is in a tough position because he can't keep Simmons but he has the team that had the best record in the East last season, so he can't take a step back when moving Simmons.

    Simmons isnt going anywhere soon.
They will fine his ass big time and then his fam will advise him to show up and play.
Morey will set him down and tell him in order for you to get a trade out of Philly you need to come back and play first so I can engineer a trade that good for both. Just my gut feeling.

I think Philly would want a 3 way with players to win now instead of those picks, but it would be hard as the Wall contract can't be traded and the other 6ers players have value on the court.

I agree, I think Morey is they type to say fuck it and not flinch in an uncomfortable situation.

By the trade deadline there will be injuries, losing, or something else that makes an all star available and then the 6ers can try to complete a better trade.
