I've had dinner there a couple times but never breakfast. It's a bit expensive but good.

As a side note, it's not more than a mile and a half from my house. I go by there at least twice a day, mostly to and from the VA.

Hoots in Eugene was AWESOME! Each booth had their own little jukebox.

Uh, no. I don’t live in Vegas and I rarely go (not a huge Vegas fan).

I’m spoiled in food - we end up at a lot of farm-to-table-type dinners and/or restaurants.

We hardly ever cook bacon and for years when we did it was in a pan on the stovetop.

Now my wife cooks it in the oven in a deep baking pan on parchment paper and it is perfect every time with little mess.

Yes, and they're very good. I went there one time with my wife just for the breakfast and I found no cashier. So, my wife and I sat down thinking a waitress would take our order. No waitress showed up so my wife went to the serving area and asked someone and they said there's a place to pay over near the checkin/out desk but don't worry about it just have breakfast on us. We did and it was great. Yeah, I'm going to have to recommend Emerald Suites buffet breakfast, free for people staying there and for their visitors.

I’m a cast iron cooker when it comes to bacon. I don’t make it often either. I hardly every have time of inclination for a big breakfast but I do cook dinner often and I’ll sometimes start out with 2 slices of bacon - set aside for either salad or to make a green better. Then use the rendered fat to cook some chix or pork.

I never buy a pack of bacon anymore, I go to the meat counter and buy exactly how many think cut slices I require.

You should figure out how to make bacon into wine.

We always buy a pack of low salt bacon and I eat one piece about 1/4 of the mornings. That's less than 2 slices a week.

We also use a cast iron skillet. My wife cooks it over medium heat turning it twice. The less you fool with it the better it comes out. I'm assuming the reader likes his/her bacon crisp.

OMG, you've hit on the only drink better than chocolate milk - wine, the cheaper the better. I visit a store near Burnside in the worst part of West Portland and see what's popular.

Bacon is the only thing in this world on the same level as wine! What a terrible idea!

I was actually going to include this place on my list, even though it’s no longer in business. I used to work in Gresham many moons ago and the Mt. Hood Cafe was the place for breakfast after working the graveyard shift. Biggest breakfast I have ever seen. Though the breakfast at the Truffle Hunter in downtown Gresham is pretty good too......

Never baked bacon myself, but some friends of mine swear by it. I'll have to put that on my list.

Used to buy the thick-cut bacon (peppered) to make BLTs, so good...

Best way to cook bacon is in a cast iron pan over a fire while camping. Ain't nothing better.
