Can't wait till we get the 36,000 Seater. I went to the FA Cup 4th round at Old Trafford, there was 3,500 of us give or take some and we completely drowned out the crowds there, fair enough there was some faint chants of "United, United" but nothing deafening from 72,000 People. Man U, I expected more. ( What a game btw..</div> You only brought a few hunderd to Villa! About 5000 Villa fans at Old Trafford for the FA Cup 3rd round (sold out our allocation) and never stopped singing all game. I set it to record as well as it was a MOTD Live game. Went home and watched and couldn't believe how loud we were. I've always known we've got the best away support in the Premiership but that was unbelievable! PS. It's not hard to drown out the crowd at Old Trafford (all the Prawn Sanwich Eaters) and you expected more? However, i do agree that you have the loudest home support in the Premiership.
Everyone sings there loudest at Old Trafford, well the away supporters do, but I'm just going with the facts mate Our home support scares me though...the ringing of that bell and beating of that drums goes on for hours after the match.. - SMT

The Liverpool fans sang just the same in Athens as in Istanbul but the ground was shite for acoustics. Lets not forget that it was an Olympic stadium and not a football stadium. 3/4s of the ground had no real roof to speak of so the songs had nothin to rebound off. At each end there was a big TV screen and thousands of seats wasted behind it. Shite ground but i'll not get into that.
Being at your home paddock certainly makes a massive advantage, especially if your fans are as loud as Manchester United's. the roar at old trafford is incredible and playing whilst listening to those fans would be inspirational. on the other hand liverpool also have a tight bunch of supporters.
