Brady manhandled Manning? did they wrestle when we werent looking? Have they ever even been on the field at the same time? Its so dumb to make a comment like that....they have never played against each and never will....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Brady manhandled Manning?</div> Kind of splitting hairs, aren't you Beef? I mean...isn't Brady like 4-0 or 5-0 against Manning lifetime? I'm pretty sure that's what he meant. And you have to admit, Manning has pretty much choked in the snow at Gillette stadium the past two years while Brady played mistake free.
forgot Brady hes up there idk what everyone is talking about with Ben Rothelisberger i mean hes a 2nd year player and he struggled late in the year and in the playoffs. He threw a couple of interceptions vs the Jets in the playoffs they were lucky the won, i really dont think hes up there with any of the top qbs you cant put him up against favre, manning, brady, culpepper, mcnabb and i'm sure he would say the same thing hes not up with them and i dont understand people who say he is, and i definatly wouldnt put him in a pressure situation if i was a coach. Maybe in a few years but not now

Since manning was going against the super good NE' D and Brady was going against the bad IND' D
It's not Tom Brady's fault that the Colts defense sucks. How many rings does Tom Brady have to win before the man gets some respect? He might not sling the ball around on every down, but the man has incredible poise and rarely makes mistakes in the clutch. I'd love to have him playing on the Dolphins. Of course, I'd take Peyton Manning too. They're both great QBs.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It is obviously a fair comparison. Since manning was going against the super good NE' D and Brady was going against the bad IND' D</div> Well...both teams operate under the same salary cap rules. Each team has the same amount of money to spend on offense AND defense. Manning's the one with the biggest QB contract in history while Brady was playing for peanuts. Manning was the one throwing to Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Brandon Stokley and Marcus Pollard while I can barely name a New England receiver. Most of Manning's errors were unforced, too. Face it. He played poorly. (I think you're just bitter because no one is picking Rex Grossman as their clutch QB.)
Wow, DolFanDale is defending one of the teams in his division, out of all the things. I'd expect Pats37 to say something like that but wow...
There is no such thing as an unforced error in football....the contract thing isnt accurate at all....both contracts are similar when you only consider money they will actually get and both deals have similar cap numbers....for that matter, Vicks deal is similar too....back to the original question....who do you want to play QB for you for a game....with all things being equal, Ill take Manning every time....ask yourselves this, and try to be honest., If the players switched teams, would the Colts be better than the Patriots? I suspect that the Patriots would have won the last 4 Super Bowls with Manning at the helm while the Colts would struggle to make the playoffs with Brady at the helm....
Yes that's true. The only reason the Patriots are a dynasty is because of one thing. The whole team. If it wasn't for the coaching staff, Coach Belichick, and all of the players on the team working together, they would be all over the place. It was because of how Belichick coached this spectacular team and the way the team worked together and all of the chemistry they had compared to a team like the 49ers. Now, I am proud to say the Chargers are working like a team with Coach Schottenheimer during the Spring Training even with the absense of Shawne Merriman. I got to watch them practice and I was very impressed that the veterans were like mentors towards the rookies and watching Luis Castillo creating competition with Eric Parker, I'd expect many passes toward him in his rookie year and beyond. As I was trying to say, the Colts had many flaws in their defence. One, Manning is like one of he most paid players in the NFL league today and in order to keep him, they had to downgrade most of their players. Since their offence is so good, they downgraded their defence. They were in need of a cornerbacks and linebackers as well. Compared to the Patriots, they had everything!

Food for thought.
Thats such bullshit. There is no WAY in hell that Brady would have only scored 3 points last year in the playoffs. Last I checked, he put up over 40 in Pittsburgh against the Number 1 Defense in the league. Give Brady some credit...
He won three straight super bowls!!!!!!!! I dont care how good the D is he puts up enough points for them to win. It doesnt matter wht the stats r cuz they still come out to win.

These are the two I would consider. If I had an otherwise strong team, I might lean towards Brady, but I am not sure. If I had holes in the rest of the team, I would definitely would go with Manning.
Ok Beef, yes you are correct they will never be on the field at the same time, but dont put it past the patriots to try brady at like corner or something. But what i meant was that Bradys nerve and intangables are superior to mannings. Peyton is a great player no doubt but you also have to consider who Peyton has around him. Edgerrin James...beast. Marvin Harrison...beast. Reggie Wayne...beast. Marcus Pollard was pretty good as well as brandon stokely...before the acquisition of corey dillon from my team the bengals, who has brady had...troy brown and david patten...

Not so sure he's my first pick to win the "big game". But he could be after another year or two. And keep in mind, he had a much better rookie season than Manning or Brady (who didn't play as a rookie).
Sounds like you guys are arguing a subjective point. If I answered Jake Plummer, it's not a wrong answer. It's just not the popular one. Manning or Brady, I'd take Manning because I think he has superior physical skill. But that doesn't mean anything, it's just one man's opinion.
