The post was about ignorance and how you can't make a fair judgement without listening to someone. I could care less if you think he is good or not. The thing that annoyed me is that you made a judgement without having a fair listen. It could be about Lil Wayne for all I care.

I think anyone with a sane mind can come to the conclusion that an artist with millionaire in his name is complete and utter ****.

Can we not look into the heart of hip hop and find something better to listen to than that scrub. He's out there to get his money, and nothing else. That's not what hip hop is about, that's why I bag on him.
The heart of hip-hop is party good-time music. Ridin, as the best rap single of the year, is a perfect example of that....yes, lyrically it's nothing new, but the hook is off the chain. Jedi Mind Tricks, Wu-Tang and obscure rap groups do not represent the heart of hip hop, they are alternative hip-hop.

In order to make money, you have to have that one commercial banger in order to get people to open their ear to you and to sell albums. It doesn't mean the rest of the album consists of the same material. Unfortunately, not everyone is gifted with money.
Unfortunately I've heard his whole album, and fortunately I didn't like it. He's like every other rapper out there right now. He's in it for the money and nothing else. Sure, hustle, but get that **** off my radio if you're going to disgrace the art of hip hop like that. Anyone that wants to make money by simply blaspheming hip hop should explore other venues. I don't have respect for him, because he's contributing to the decline of the greatest genre of music in the past twenty years.

If he actually rapped about real ****, not about the same old boring money, clothes, hoes, jewelry, cars, yadda yadda yadda, he'd still have money. God forbid you live on a salary in the hundred of thousand dollars! Chamillionaire is a joke, he's trash and his voice is garbage. BTW, that Ridin' Dirty song was the most annoying song to come out in recent memory. Fergalicious > Riding Dirty. Chamillionaire and most artists like him are the reason why I don't even pay any attention to hip hop anymore.

If you are a rapper that raps about real things, yadda, yadda, firstly, you'll find that it'll be extremely difficult to get signed to a record label. Secondly if you do manage to get signed to a label, the real music you make will not appeal to people and your album sales will be significantly low. Let's say you sell somewhere are 200,000 albums like real rappers like Mos Def, Talib Kweli etc... You'll probably make around $2 per album. That means at the end of the year, you'll have $400,000. However, 40% of this will be taxed. That means you are left with $240,000. Next you have to pay for your publicists, security, accountants etc... After that, your left with about $100,000. With that $100,000 you have to move away from the hood you live in because people don't like to see others make it. If you take a mortgage out, that money will pay for your deposit. Now how are you going to pay the mortgage off? You have no education and no job. Even if you do get a job, the pay is going to be low because its likely to be a low-skilled job. If you're a real rapper, you can't just put out another album for the hell of it, it has to be "real." Most rappers make money from endorsements, clothing lines etc... Who is going to endorse a rapper that has no commercial value? You do realise that all these bling, cribs and cars of 70% of the rappers are all rented and just for show don't you?

That is where they make 10's of thousands a show. The average rapper will make 10-20 a show when the most popular ones make around the 50 a show. a 20 city tour can make a nice chunk of change.

Game's album was good for about the first 10 spins, then it got annoying. Now it's certified trash, I think I threw it out the window on the freeway. Oh pity, a rapper has to live on $100,000 a year. Oh pity, they've got to get out of the hood, so what? $100,000 a year is more than enough to live on for a year. You also left out, like mentioned above, the money they make from touring. I feel no sympathy for these idiots who still live in the hood. They have the money to get out, yet it would be uncool too.
And what do you know about the hood, you're from Destin. How's life in Destin? Are the resorts busy this time of year?
