Walton for me. He won the team's only title and was league MVP. Clyde Drexler was the greatest Houston Rocket who spent most of his career in another city. Dame can be the greatest Blazer when all is said and done. Toss up between Sabas and Roy as to who is the biggest "what if."
My favorite foreign 5. Arvydas Sabonis Victor Khryapa Rudy Fernandez Drazen Petrovich Sergio Rodriguez
It's Clyde now but before his career is over, I think Dame will be. I see more playoff success before the end of his career and he'll be the scoring and assists leader. Dame will be the greatest Blazer of all time but for now, it's Clyde.
I've got nothing against Clyde for wanting to be identified with Houston any more. He grew up there. It was a nice way to end his career on a winning note after those great Phi Slamma Jamma teams disappointed. I just think it's pointless to identify his career with the Blazers when he views it as just a a mere way-stop. That's what he wants so let him have it.
I can't believe Jerome Kersey is not a choice. I had to vote for Maurice as he played on the Championship team.
Walton is one a of a handful in history who if necessary, could have won an NBA championship with 4 D-League talents starting.
In order, taking everything on and off the court into account Walton Drexler Dame Lucas Sabas Kersey Porter Sheed Grant Aldridge Pippen Blake Roy
Roy and lillard are very close in my book. I think Roy was much more clutch, but did not have as many scoring explosions. .and of course he had a shorter career
Gotta be Drexler for me as he fills so many of my childhood memories of the Blazers. I see a lot of talk about Kersey. I love him for the same reasons as Drexler...but (and I don't mean to speak ill of dead guy, RIP Jerome) didn't he get in hot water for messing around with underage girls (in Utah i think)?
