I look forwad to ABM's posts a lot because he usually posts links to obscure articles. Barfo is funny, Sly Poker Dog is a good poster, as is Nikolokus or whatever. Eric is entertaining. OdenisGod can get a little old, but I'm sure I can as well to other people.
No way . . . I'll nominate you. I like posters with an edge. That is what keeps it lively in here. Not so much OIG . . . but you, shooter over in OT, papag, maris, kingspeed, HCP . . . you guys got personality and keep it interesting around here.
Hey, HCP: if you're trying to put in a contact lens, it probably helps to take off your sunglasses first.
I'm sure this is very funny, but I just don't understand it. Most confusing poster......... Rastapoopa whatever his name is!
I would think it's the angle of your hand, and the fact that your face looks like you're focusing on your finger.
That's probably why you like Shooter he doesn't know what it means either. LOL. It means to work across party lines. There is a cafe up near Mt. Tabor called the Bi-Partisan Cafe. It was a pretty weak joke anyways, but now I've killed it and buried it in some shallow grave in a forest where no one will ever find it.
You know I'm a Duck myself, but I've never managed to summon up that kind of Beaver hate. I like Beavers in fact. I mean damn, you name a team after a euphemism for vagina? That takes balls, you gotta be pretty secure in your manhood to do that.
I read everybody, and at times, they all reflect the adjectives in the title of this thread. It's a nice community, and I'll include those too afraid to read my posts because I make them feel stupid.
Minstrel, Barfo, Ed O, BNM, Nikolokus and Stomp are really the only posters I feel are worth reading. Rastapolous, Tince, and BrianFromWA also say noteworthy things from time to time.
BoobNoMore is intelligent and thoughtful. Posts are well written. Opinions are based on fact, so even when someone disagrees it's possible to have a rational discussion. I guess I'm not going to hold a Blazer Board party any time soon. I feel like Christine Craft, the newscaster fired for, among other sins, not being deferential to men. Least favorite are the ones who post pseudo-political threads, a dozen identical ones a day. I say pseudo-political because they are not based on any real position or action. I did not vote for the current president because I had too many fundamental disagreements with him, but these OT posts are based on any slander or scandal will do, no need to fact check, no matter whether they have the slightest basis in reality. They throw about terms like socialist, communist, nazi, fascist interchangeably and with no knowledge of what they mean. Same with revolution and civil war (no, waving a tea bag is neither). They aren't even original; posts are copied/pasted from some web site or repeated verbatim from AM shriek radio. Declaring a president same as Hitler or worse than al Qaeda, the only possible interpretation is that it would be a really good thing if he were assassinated. And I find that scary when combined with armed marches outside presidential town halls (under the previous administration, a protest T shirt was enough reason to be physically removed). All this by people who during the previous administration said any dissent or diasgreement was treason, anti-American, and supporting terrorism.
Always enjoy posts by Masbee, EdO, Minstrel, STOMP, and barfo. Probably no coincidence that they seem to see the Blazers about like I do--entertainment. Not a lot of moralizing in those guys about character issues--it's all about wins and losses. I sometimes enjoy reading guys like mixum, Speed and OddEnormous. But they're a little like marmite. A little goes a long way. I miss reading Schilly and Hap posting here. Seems kind of silly not to let bygones be bygones. crandc is probably the most unique poster here. Don't let a little negativity get you down. I'm a big fan. Always read HCP's posts, if only because he's a low level Blazers corporate tool. And I mean that in the kindest way. Plus he's a good writer. ABM definitely seems to come up with the most articles. Denny Crane has done a great job of setting this whole thing up.
Thanks mook. Like you too. But my mother the late English teacher would be obligated to point out there is no such thing as "most unique".
