Best Off-Season so Far Denver Nuggets - Adding Kenyon Martin, was a boost for them, and signing Camby back even though it was for too much. Next they need to either get Rodney White back or sign another swingman. They'll have one of the best defensive teams at the PG and PF/C, now if Carmelo's defense improves, and if they can get a younger defensive guy at the 2 over Voshon they could be a fastbreaking defensive stopping team. Miami Heat - They got Shaq, and even though the lost depth which they really never had before anyways, they have to get a few key players to solidifiy themselves as contenders Houston Rockets - As long as the Yao-Tmac combo works then it was good. San Antonio Spurs - Got their defenders back, and they added Barry who will stroke everything Duncan passes to him Worst Off-Season so Far Milwaukee Bucks - No one might realize, but no first round draft pick, just lost Skinner, Damon Jones will likely not be back, and Toni Kukoc even though he played minimal defense was instrumental in ball movement in the offense, and playmaking. Replacements need to be found quickly. New Jersey Nets - Lost Kenyon Cleveland Cavaliers - Need a PF Los Angeles Lakers - No Shaq ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Quote:

Now onto the Suns. Do you people seriously think Steve Nash is going to make that big of a difference? They still have no legit big man to complement Amare down low. They have a ton of guards and small forwards though. But, Nash will not ultimately make the difference, and nor would QRich if they get him, but, I expect that offer to be matched by the Clipps by some pont next week, but, whole different subject right there. Like I was saying, Nash isn't going to make that big of a difference. The guy is only going to able to give you around 32 min a night due to the fact he is 30 and he ran like hell in Dallas, and, after so many years in that offense, it takes a toll on your body. So, just because they got a good point guard doesn't automatically make them really good and playoff bound like you people think. That team is still far too young and they're not very good defensively.
Actually the team isn't bad defensively, if they played a defensive style last year they would've have done pretty well with it becuase Barbosa, Joe Johnson, Marion, Amare and McDyess are all very good defenders, but they played like the Hawks, everyone just try to score, but more structured than the Hawks. This year they actually want to play a defensive style, but Nash won't help that much and neither will Q "no defense" Richardson. I agree with you though, they got old Nash for too much money, may get no defense Q for too much money to be a 6th man, and they lost McDyess a good defensive presence for the team. They improved but not drastically IMO, but the team was good before anyways. How come everyone is saying the Clippers? They haven't lost Q yet, so how did they get worse in comparison to the season, they also got Livingston who has some promise hopefully.
People say the Clippers cause they lost the Kobe sweepstakes. That was a huge shot in the arm for them. They were very hopeful to get him and even unloaded a couple people to get him. I think that's gonna really take a shot into their morale. Might not last long, but, for now, it hurts. Livingston won't produce instantly. The kid needs to put on some muscle cause he's an absolute twig. Strong point guards like Kidd, Payton, and Cassell will be able to just abuse him down low if he doens't get some muscle. Plus, he's not that great of a shooter yet. The kid however, is very long and atheltic and has a lot of upside. But, he's going to take some time to develop. But, he's got a lot of potential and he's going to be very good at some point in his career. And, about QRich, like I said earlier, I think it's likely that the Clippers will match that offer sheet the Suns gave him. But, really, the team hasn't done much to improve. They made a move to get Kobe and didn't get him. Outside of that though, they haven't really done anything.
Definatley New Jersey is having a worse offseason as they already lost Kenyon Martin and now they may be on a verge of trading Jason Kidd if they won't get any frontcourt help, they're having a bad offseason and also their future doesn't look so good (If those 3 picks they acquired from Nuggets are over the 24th pick.)
