Let me tell you all something thats common knowledge, you can argue all day over the old school dunkers but the best dunker in the game to day is JRICH..Hands down...What Nique was doing in contests and what MJ did in contests, ballers today are doing that in their sleep and during games.VCs dunking has deteriorated he even admitted that himself.Jrich is taking it to new levels nobody could pull off a off the backboard through the legs back in the day.Jrich atempted that 360 elbow in the rim which he can obviously do but just didnt pull it off in the contest. Now that is serious he is bypassing VC no problem.Everyone went cracked when MJ and DRJ jumped from the free throw line but thats getting old now and isnt even done in dunk cons(outside the NBA that Bekering fella took off with two feet from the free throw*amazing*).I dont want to hear stuff like Jrich has only been in the L a while but for crying out loud im not even that much of a fan of him but he is totally doing stuff that was never contemplated back in the day, same with RickyD.Nique did windmills in contests and now windmills are practically mandatory if your all alone in the half court e.g Magetti,RJ etc.The main thing Nique,MJ and DRJ are/should be renouned for revolutionising dunking but it has grown leaps and bounds since they were throwing it down and everyone should realise that.

^ How tall did you think Dr. J was? But really though, it's windmills has become mandatory to do in open lanes nowadays. But one of the old dunks that isn't done much anymore in games is the cradle dunk. James and Ricky do the reverse style of it.
But I haven't seen the way Dr. J and MJ do it since I guess KG did it a couple years ago.

man,you guys STILL leave out 'Nique...the most viscous cradle dunks I've ever seen came from 'Nique. No matter who. No matter where. No matter when. He would dunk it on you, threw you or however else he felt like it. Other than a center,'Nique is the hardest in game dunker I ever saw.

There is no such thing as the best dunker! U guys do not realize that. It's all in your opinion...There can be the most powerful dunker...Most acrobatic dunker...Most finesse dunker...But not the best dunker of all time, and can not compare the 2.

Any body can do windmills, 360s, and stuff...It's just the matter of what they actually did in games and contest...MJ and Dr. J could have easily thrown it down between there legs...BY THE WAY I HAVEnT seen MJ do a 360 dunk...doesnt mean he cant do it...he just didnt do it.

My bad Dre, I've never seen highlights of Nique doing the Cradle. I've never got to see Nique play much, by the time I started seeing him play, he was already in his 30's.
BTW I've never thought about it. But I haven't seen Jordan do a 360, just figured he did that anytime he wanted to. But no doubt, Nique, Jordan, and Dr. J could do alot of the dunks being done today in their prime.

I totally agree that the dunkers today r much better than the dunkers back then, but i still think Vince has it over Jason Richardson. Compare their dunk contests. No one lit up the crowd as much as Vince Carter did.

^^^^Maybe so.Carter may have lit it up because all he did was new,but can you imagine it Jrich connected with that 360 elbow in the rim, thats taking it to new levels passing VC.

^True, but somebody said that was a VC rip off dunk. A 360 off the lob is far more difficult to do then just sticking your elbow in the rim. That and the 360 through the legs off the lob would've been the greatest dunk no doubt of alltime. Matter as fact, he could've had 3 of the greatest dunks in 1 contest. He got 1, and the other from last year.
