I really don't think so. Olshey has some pruning to do, but with the core set, his acquisition checklist is more about getting solid players to surround them with than it is about looking for a big star. This is the first time in a long time that that's been the case.
I don't think either outcome is really going to matter one way or another. Losing 4-1 or 4-0 is pretty much an ass whipping and an expected outcome. Minus a healthy Nurkic (and add Plumlee back into the mix) and this team was .400. The Warriors have looked like a juggernaut for awhile. This is what you get.
Win A blowout accomplishes nothing positive. The performances we've seen are fully sufficient to highlight the team's and the players weaknesses.
Playing the Warriors for guys like Shabazz and Vonleh is priceless experience ...I think every playoff game is better training than a whole summer league series...I'd play guys like Crabbe, Turner, Leonard and Harkless huge minutes in game 4...they all could use a confidence boost on offense.
I want the players who are crumbling under the pressure of playing a Warriors team nobody expects them to beat GONE. If they can't hit an open shot now, imagine an important close game. Heartbreak material waiting for us fans. Crabbe is the perfect example. He'll hit some shots in the playoffs when he's 32. I don't wanna wait.
Sorry Stren but that makes no sense. Did Meyers even play in the last game? Getting blown out or not blown out won't change what the Blazers think of Meyers at this point. Only his actual play will do that. It's more likely that if we get blown out it will be because players like Harkless and Aminu and Turner and Noah and Crabbe get exposed, and they become more likely to be jettisoned, again based on their actual play.
