I'm pretty sure Bowen guards Chris Paul sometimes so I'm going to have to disagree

We'll see. I can't say I know who he'll guard, but so far slower players than Harris simply couldn't guard him. I haven't seen the Spurs play the Hornets so I don't know if Paul tried to get past Bowen with his speed, but I know Devin Harris would. That's just what he does. Paul is a much more complete player than Harris and doesn't have to rely on his athleticism as heavily.

The Blazers were expected to be 0.700. The Nets were expected to be 0.300.

With all due respect, NJ beat half of those teams on their recent road trip. It doesn't exactly prove anything about either team

    1) You're not considering the fact that NJ arena sucks. About 80% of the Nets fans call it "home court disadvantage".
    2) If you're trying to argue that your Blazers will not lose to a crappy team, you're kidding yourself. One game has never meant anything, especially for a team as young and as new as NJ. Blazers have had the same core for 2 years now. NJ has 3 players left over from last year. Think about that.

LOL. Are you kidding me? Your rookies are legitimate lottery picks, one of whom is the most heralded player since LBJ, the other one has been playing international basketball for 4 years and the last one is the #11 pick. Are you really going to try to compare your "rookies" to New Jersey's 3 rookies? Get real.

Correction. I haven't seen Roy "take over" a game. He plays well and consistent, but if you're talking about taking over games, Roy hasn't come close to what Harris has done this year.

New Jersey is 6-3 on the road while Blazers are 7-6.
Harris has actually CARRIED NJ on his back. Roy has played consistently well.

the blazers were expected to win 70% of their games? really?

and if you haven't seen roy take over a game, that just means you haven't been watching. it does nothing to help your argument.

To be honest saying Roy hasn't taken over a game is a really ignorant statement.

And Bayless is not playing at all in Portland, the other rookie Andalusian was referring to was Nicolas Batum who just so happens to be starting

If you guys watched every Nets game this season you'll understand why we say Devin Harris is better.

I think the true measuring stick would be to ask GM's who they would rather have. In my opinion, the majority would say BRoy. I bet the Net's would trade Harris for him in a heartbeat and know damn well that KP would NOT make that move!

This is a wild guess, but maybe because he wasn't in the game

If he was that good of a player he would have told his coach to put him in the game when it was getting close.Unless he fouled out.

why would the coach have to listen to him? If you want to discuss Nate's ineptitude at coaching, I'll start another thread

Maybe he did tell him and Nate said no? You can't know that kind of stuff unless you're sitting with them on the bench.

Nate coached a horrible game at the end against Boston. Roy should've been in the game, despite not playing well.

But as JFizzleRaider said, that's discussion for another thread...go check out the Blazers forum, I'm sure they'd love to hear your opinion on the matter.

Roy did not take over the game because, let's face it - even if he is better than Harris, it is still not enough against the best defense in the league - especially when the only players that the Blazers had that did have a good offensive game were Roy and Bayless - and they never played together. It's tough to take over a game by yourself against their D (which should get all the props in the world - it really is fantastic).

If LeBron was not able to do it in the playoffs by himself - it is hard to expect Roy to do it - because Roy is not as good a player, nor as able to take over a game by himself as LeBron.

It still means nothing to the comparison with Harris. It's not as if the Blazers lost by 20 to the Wizards on their own court...

I think the world of Devin Harris - and there are areas where he is clearly better than Roy - and being an explosive scorer is one of them - but I do not think they are equal - I think Roy is a slightly better all-around player and more capable of taking over a game.

This is not a knock on Harris and the difference between them is not worlds apart, IMHO.

It's OK to disagree... there is no need to take it personal when someone likes or values one player more than another...

right now harris is ballin but hes in the east and hes on the nets. shootin a lotta fts...im glad i got him on my fantasy team

roys been ballin since he got here, and hes in the west.

devins puttin up good numbers but most of the teams he played arent that good...but he did havea breakout game vs detroit in his 4th game, 38 pts, 20/24 fts, god daam

devin has to prove hes better by ballin vs the west teams in the later part of the season. did good on that westcoast trip but he played a few banged up west teams and some that arent in ful chemistry. as the season progresses we'll see if devin can keep up his baller status.
