MW3 is just a big speedball game now. They made it this way by making the most powerful guns all sub machineguns and akimbos. They want you to run around these small maps spraying at people. Most of the players don't even aim down the sites. They just put on steady aim and spray away. It's pretty lame.
I have played the Call of Duty franchise much more than Battlefield and playing Battlefield Bad Company 2, I was really bad at it so I couldn't get into that series. Modern Warfare 2 really pissed me off with all the danger closing, one man armying, noob tubing, quick scoping, camping ***s. However, I decided to get Modern Warfare 3 and give it a chance. For awhile I was enjoying it. However, I went black friday shopping with a couple buddies and we saw Battlefield was $30. Mosy of my friends on XBox play Battlefield over COD, so we all decided to get it since $30 for a game that has been getting high praise for its multiplayer and just came out in October was to good to pass up. Needless to say, ever since I purchased Battlefield I have played that nonstop and now my MW3 is collecting dust and will be for the forseeable future. It helps that I somehow got good at this Battlefield (I have no idea how). So much more enjoyable. If I ever buy a Call of Duty game again its from Treyarch and it is only for potential Zombies, I'm through with COD's multiplayer.

MW3 is a piece of shit. I sold it and got Skyrim. The maps in MW3 are extremely condensed and the run-and-game that many people complain about has gotten far worse. After about two weeks, I couldn't tolerate the multiplayer anymore.
I like it. The maps are different than MW2 and Black Ops but that's why I really like the multiplayer. Though I don't like how they took out hardcore and replaced it with ricochet.
Since our DVD player freaked out I convinced my wife it was a good idea to get the PS3. I got the MW3, which is the first time I have played a 1st person shooter since Medal of Honor. Haven't tried the multiplayer function yet, but it seems like it's pretty hard to spot the enemy and certainly isn't very stealthy. So far I am disappoint. I miss the days of arguing over whether I shot somebody or not when I said bang.
