what a bullshit post...Hitler destroyed his country..split it in two and killed millions of people .....you lose a lot of credibility when you post crap like this
who cares what they thought....they are not Joe Biden and I resent any comparison you make with them and him....respect the man
But he was a terrible Vice President, and Obama was a terrible President. Why would I respect the man? If you ask me to respect his OFFICE, then I'll respect his office. But HIM? No way.
well....I don't respect your view about either of them so you can sling shit about them all you want..I'll just have to consider the source....I'm grateful for their work and accomplishments.
Remove political agendas from the conversation, and just look at the job Biden did. Biden did everything a VP is supposed to do; he did it well, and with a smile. How can you ask more than that from a public servant? I did not like most of what Obana did as P. But respect the way Joe Biden did his job. Biden probably will be rated as one of the best VPs of all time while working for one of the worst presidents of all time.
Whatever. I don't respect your views about a man who hasn't even been sworn in yet. So I guess we're even.
I actually think Biden was more out-of-touch with America than Obama, because Obama's role shielded him from much of it. But that's a reasonable post. Rep.
I would say most, if not all, people that hold high Federal jobs are out of touch with the people, in both parties. Biden worked with many agencies over the 8 years. He performed very well. He also has a very deep understanding of how our Govt. works.
more like how uncomfortable Joe must feel wearing that medallion bling in public...must feel like one of the Bee Gees....should've shown some chest hair and rocked some spandex to complete the ensemble
Oh, tons of reasons. So many that I wouldn't even know where to start. "Scorned for 8 years by the Left" is a good enough reason. When all you can do is point at someone and call them a racist, misogynistic, homophobe, and whatever else have you, without even understanding what you're saying, or why you feel the way that you do (most likely because the Liberal Media and elitist celebrities told you it was the "hip" thing to do).....then it makes it pretty easy to support the candidate you're insulting. Obama spent 8 years trying to win the popularity contest, and using emotion to win hearts. Trump doesn't give a shit about your emotions, and he sure as fuck doesn't give a shit about no popularity contest. That's why I like him (among other reasons). That being said, I'm far from one of his blind, hat-wearing followers: The wall isn't going to do a fucking thing other than score brownie points for his base. Even the dumbest Cartel member is going to find a way to get over or under it. He would do well to steer clear of Russia and Putin and not ally himself with that corrupt dictator. Hold Putin accountable for any hacking, and hold him accountable for war crimes in Syria. Instead of erasing Obamacare altogether, I think a better solution would be to simply modify it to erase the tax penalty, and allow people to go out-of-state for their insurance coverage. He needs to stop bullshitting people with his supposed "job creation", and give us the nitty-gritty on what businesses already had plans to invest here in the US, and which businesses he ACTUALLY influenced. He needs to get the fuck off of Twitter. Quite frankly, I don't feel that the 2 minutes that he spends out of his 16 hour work day on Twitter is that big of a deal. But the problem is that he has no filter. And while I really do admire his "No PC" attitude, often times his rants on Twitter are not constructive. Stop holding Boeing hostage. You know we need new 747s for AF1. Get the goddamn deal done. It's great that you want to be budget-conscious about it, Trump...but don't hold Boeing hostage while doing it. He needs to release his taxes. I don't give a shit what he paid or didn't pay, and if he beat the system legally, then he should be able to show it. It shows credibility and transparency. Get a proper no-contact trust between your companies. Not the little sham-show you put on in that press conference. That's all for now. The Falcon game is coming on, and I want to see Matt Ryan embarrass Seattle. I voted for him, he's my president, and I support him. I've always prided myself on looking at ALL the evidence, and thinking for myself. But like fuck if I'm going to follow him blindly. I WILL hold him accountable for stupid shit.
According to Google, it was written by Jim Sensenbrenner. And no, I have no idea who that is. https://www.google.com/search?q=Patriot Act&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
"Anti-terror" legislation The next year, months before the Oklahoma City bombing took place, Biden introduced another bill called the Omnibus Counterterrorism Act of 1995. It previewed the 2001 Patriot Act by allowing secret evidence to be used in prosecutions, expanding the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and wiretap laws, creating a new federal crime of "terrorism" that could be invoked based on political beliefs, permitting the U.S. military to be used in civilian law enforcement, and allowing permanent detection of non-U.S. citizens without judicial review. The Center for National Security Studies said the bill would erode "constitutional and statutory due process protections" and would "authorize the Justice Department to pick and choose crimes to investigate and prosecute based on political beliefs and associations." Biden himself draws parallels between his 1995 bill and its 2001 cousin. "I drafted a terrorism bill after the Oklahoma City bombing. And the bill John Ashcroft sent up was my bill," he said when the Patriot Act was being debated, according to the New Republic, which described him as "the Democratic Party's de facto spokesman on the war against terrorism." Biden's chronology is not accurate: the bombing took place in April 1995 and his bill had been introduced in February 1995. But it's true that Biden's proposal probably helped to lay the groundwork for the Bush administration's Patriot Act. In 1996, Biden voted to keep intact an ostensibly anti-illegal immigration bill that outlined what the Real ID Act would become almost a decade later. The bill would create a national worker identification registry; Biden voted to kill an Abraham-Feingold amendment that would have replaced the registry with stronger enforcement. According to an analysis by the Electronic Privacy Information Center, the underlying bill would have required "states to place Social Security numbers on drivers licenses and to obtain fingerprints or some other form of biometric identification for licenses." Along with most of his colleagues in the Congress -- including Sen. John McCain but not Rep. Ron Paul -- Biden voted for the Patriot Act and the Real ID Act (which was part of a larger spending bill). Obama voted for the bill containing the Real ID Act, but wasn't in the U.S. Senate in 2001 when the original Patriot Act vote took place. Patriot Act In the Senate debate over the Patriot Act in October 2001, Biden once again allied himself closely with the FBI. The Justice Department favorably quotes Biden on its Web site as saying: "The FBI could get a wiretap to investigate the mafia, but they could not get one to investigate terrorists. To put it bluntly, that was crazy! What's good for the mob should be good for terrorists." The problem is that Biden's claim was simply false -- which he should have known after a decade of experience lending his name to wiretapping bills on behalf of the FBI. As CDT explains in a rebuttal to Biden: "The Justice Department had the ability to use wiretaps, including roving taps, in criminal investigations of terrorism, just as in other criminal investigations, long before the Patriot Act." https://www.cnet.com/news/joe-bidens-pro-riaa-pro-fbi-tech-voting-record/
