Hill scores 3 ways as No. 8 TCU beats No. 23 West Virginia

Kenny Hill scored three different ways, and got the winning score by avoiding three defenders as No. 8 TCU remained the only undefeated team in the Big 12 Conference.

Hill eluded a defender in the backfield and lunged forward through two more Mountaineers for a 3-yard touchdown run with 2:53 left in a 31-24 victory over No. 23 West Virginia on Saturday.

No. 6 TCU handles K-State, weather delays in 26-6 victory

TCU and Kansas State had gone through pregame stretching and warm-ups, even tossed the coin, and were minutes away from kickoff Saturday when the first flash of lightning lit up the sky.

After a 3-hour weather delay, the Horned Frogs returned to the field to start the game.

The Wildcats never really showed up.

Sixth-ranked TCU's stingy defense shut down the ailing Kansas State offense, and Kenny Hill threw for 297 yards while running for a touchdown in a 26-6 victory that kept the Horned Frogs undefeated.

No. 12 Oklahoma tops Texas 29-24 after blowing 20-point lead

Emotionally and physically spent just a few minutes earlier, Baker Mayfield found the energy to gallop into the Cotton Bowl tunnel joyously, "Golden Hat" trophy on his head, after beating his hometown Texas Longhorns again.

Mayfield threw 59 yards to Mark Andrews for the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter after Oklahoma had blown a 20-point lead, and the 12th-ranked Sooners held on to beat Texas 29-24 on Saturday.

No. 14 Oklahoma St sets yardage record, beats Baylor 59-16

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy and quarterback Mason Rudolph took their shirts off for an adoring crowd at a Homecoming pep rally on Friday, and the good times just continued on Saturday.

Rudolph passed for 459 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score to lead No. 14 Oklahoma State to a runaway 59-16 victory over Baylor.

West Virginia finally beat a ranked opponent, using a big rally to do it.

Hill, No. 4 TCU roll 43-0 as Kansas ties NCAA road loss mark

TCU's KaVontae Turpin went backward to set up a dazzling 90-yard punt return for a touchdown.

The Kansas offense just mostly went backward.

Kenny Hill matched his career high with five touchdown passes, Turpin's return after backtracking to the 3 capped the scoring in the third quarter and the TCU defense dominated the overmatched Jayhawks in the fourth-ranked Horned Frogs' 43-0 victory Saturday night.

OT interception enables No. 10 Oklahoma State to beat Texas

During his 13 seasons as Oklahoma State football coach, Mike Gundy has built a reputation for producing dynamic offenses and less than impressive defenses.

On Saturday, the Cowboys leaned on their defense.

Ramon Richards intercepted Sam Ehlinger's pass in the end zone in overtime, after Matt Ammendola kicked a field goal, giving No. 10 Oklahoma State a 13-10 victory over Texas.

Mayfield, Anderson lead No. 9 Sooners past K-State, 42-35

Oklahoma has made a habit of squandering early leads much of this season.

The Sooners went the other way Saturday night.

Rodney Anderson ran 22 yards for the go-ahead score with 7 seconds left, Baker Mayfield threw for 410 yards and accounted for four touchdowns, and the nation's ninth-ranked team overcame a 21-10 halftime deficit to beat Kansas State 42-35 and keep their playoff hopes alive.

No. 23 West Virginia survives at Baylor, 38-36

Nobody has to tell West Virginia coach Dana Holgerson that Baylor can put up points in a hurry. The Mountaineers gave up 62 and 73 points in their first two trips to Waco.

But Holgerson didn't expect his team would need to stop a two-point conversion and recover an onside kick to win after carrying a 25-point lead into the fourth quarter all while facing a freshman quarterback.

That's exactly what happened, though. Xavier Preston sacked Charlie Brewer on a two-point try with 17 seconds left and No. 23 West Virginia withstood a furious fourth-quarter Baylor rally to escape with a 38-36 win Saturday night.

No. 25 Iowa State upsets No. 4 TCU 14-7

    TCU is no longer unbeaten.

The Horned Frogs have only themselves -- and a resurgent Iowa State defense -- to blame.

Kyle Kempt threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns and 25th-ranked Iowa State upset fourth-ranked TCU 14-7 on Saturday, leaving the Big 12 without an undefeated team heading into November.

Mayfield leads No. 10 Oklahoma to 49-27 win over Texas Tech

For a while, it looked like No. 10 Oklahoma and Texas Tech were going to re-create their record-breaking offensive output from last year, when each team piled up 854 yards in Oklahoma's 66-59 victory.

Each team scored touchdowns on its first three possessions Saturday, but Oklahoma's defense made some key adjustments to back star quarterback Baker Mayfield in a 49-27 victory Saturday night.

Mayfield's 598 yards lead Oklahoma past Oklahoma St. 62-52

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have faced off 112 times. Never had they played a game quite like this.

The teams combined for 114 points and more than 1,400 yards as Heisman Trophy hopefuls Baker Mayfield and Mason Rudolphseemingly traded touchdowns at will.

Bedlam sure lived up to its name.

Mayfield passed for a school-record 598 yards and No. 8 Oklahoma outlasted No. 11 Oklahoma State 62-52 on Saturday in the highest-scoring game in the history of the rivalry. Mayfield threw five touchdown passes and ran for another score.

No. 10 TCU rebounds from 1st loss with 24-7 win over Texas

TCU coach Gary Patterson got after his team all week after its first loss. Then before the 10th-ranked Horned Frogs took the field against Texas, he reminded them of their chance in the Big 12.

"We knew this was a big game," running back Kyle Hicks said.

Hicks ran for two touchdowns and the Frogs rebounded from their loss, winning 24-7 on Saturday night to stayed tied for the Big 12 lead and in contention for a playoff spot.

West Virginia beats No. 14 Iowa State 20-16

A scolding from coach Dana Holgorsen after a double-digit loss a week ago helped West Virginia's players regain their focus and throw a wrench in No. 14 Iowa State's magical season.

Will Grier threw two touchdown passes, Justin Crawford broke out of a three-game slump with 102 yards rushing and West Virginia held on for a 20-16 victory over the Cyclones on Saturday.

Mayfield, Anderson lead No. 5 Oklahoma past No. 8 TCU

Baker Mayfield used his tried-and-true November formula of making spectacular plays and taking advantage of his running game to claim yet another big win.

Mayfield threw three touchdown passes, Rodney Anderson had 290 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns, and No. 5 Oklahoma rolled past No. 8 TCU 38-20 on Saturday night to take sole possession of first place in the Big 12.

No. 12 Oklahoma State rallies past No. 24 Cyclones 49-42

One week after letting Oklahoma break its heart, No. 12 Oklahoma State rallied late to stun 24th-ranked Iowa State -- handing the Cyclones one of the most devastating defeats in school history.

Mason Rudolph threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns -- including two in the final 5:55 -- and Oklahoma State beat Iowa State 49-42 on Saturday to keep its Big 12 title hopes alive.

Thompson, Pringle lead Kansas St. past Oklahoma St. 45-40

Looks like 78-year-old Kansas State coach Bill Snyder still knows how to reach young people.

Snyder made it a point to tell his team it was a heavy underdog heading into Saturday's matchup with No. 10 Oklahoma State, and it was the perfect button to push. Byron Pringle caught three touchdown passes and returned a kickoff for another score to help the Wildcats stun the Cowboys 45-40 on Saturday.

Freshman QB 1st start in No. 11 TCU's 27-3 win at Texas Tech

Shawn Robinson became the first true freshman quarterback to start a game for No. 11 TCU in coach Gary Patterson's 17 seasons as head coach.

Even after a 27-3 win over Texas Tech that got the Horned Frogs closer to a spot in the Big 12 championship game, Patterson kept to his policy of not letting freshmen talk to the media after the game.

No. 10 TCU gets Big 12 title shot with 45-22 win over Baylor

No. 10 TCU will get another shot against No. 3 Oklahoma. This one will be closer to home with a chance to win a Big 12 trophy -- and maybe even make a case for more.

"I relish the chance to win a championship," Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson said.

Kenny Hill threw three touchdowns and ran 3 yards for another score as the Horned Frogs clinched a spot in the Big 12 championship game in nearby Arlington, with a 45-22 win over Baylor on Friday.
