No. 21 Iowa State survives UNI in 3 OT, 29-26

Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy's eyes lit up when he saw a potential game-losing fumble floating aimlessly near the goal line.

The sophomore sprang into action, snapping up Sheldon Croney Jr.'s triple-overtime miscue and saving the Cyclones from a devastating defeat -- even by their standards.

Croney Jr. scored from a yard out on the next play and 21st-ranked Iowa State rallied to edge past FCS school Northern Iowa 29-26 on Saturday.

Hurts throws 3 TD passes, No. 4 Oklahoma routs South Dakota

Oklahoma worked out a few kinks against an overmatched South Dakota squad.

Jalen Hurts passed for 259 yards and three touchdowns in just over two quarters and fourth-ranked Oklahoma rolled past the Coyotes 70-14 on Saturday night. It was the Sooners' highest points total since scoring 79 in a victory over North Texas in 2007.

Jayhawks break 48-game road skid vs. Power 5

Kansas coach Les Miles' return to college football brought him some quick joy.

It also brought the Jayhawks something they haven't had in a long time -- a road win at a Power 5 school.

Carter Stanley threw for three touchdowns, Khalil Herbert rushed for 187 yards on just 11 carries and Kansas stunned Boston College 48-24 Friday night for its first road win over a Power 5 team in nearly 11 years.
