Baylor erases 21-point deficit in final 11 minutes, stuns TCU Bryce Petty had done all he could do in bringing Baylor back from 21 points down and McLane Stadium back to life in the fourth quarter. With 4 seconds left, the Heisman Trophy contender handed it over to the kicker, who had made only one of six field-goal attempts coming into the game. Petty gave a few words of encouragement to Chris Callahan -- to focus only on himself and his job -- and then the quarterback went over to the sideline and was too nervous to watch as Callahan completed one of the greatest comebacks in Baylor history. Callahan kicked a 28-yard field goal as time expired, and No. 5 Baylor scored 24 points in the final 11 minutes to beat No. 9 TCU 61-58 on Saturday in a crazy Big 12 scorefest. Oklahoma State overcomes upset bid from Kansas Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy freely admits that his team doesn't run the ball very well. It doesn't have much experience. The offensive line doesn't always protect well and the defense doesn't have a whole lot of depth. Then again, here's something else the No. 16 Cowboys don't have: a Big 12 loss. They can thank Tyreek Hill for that. The junior college transfer returned a kickoff 99 yards for a fourth-quarter touchdown, sending the Cowboys past upset-minded Kansas 27-20 on Saturday. Missed field goals doom No. 11 Oklahoma in loss to No. 14 Kansas State With a short field goal the only thing standing between Oklahoma and the lead late in the game, Michael Hunnicutt just had to do what he's done for more than three years: Be automatic. No. 11 Oklahoma, trailing by a point in the fourth quarter, had finally seized momentum after playing catch-up for much of the game. The Sooners drove to the Kansas State 1-yard line, but couldn't punch in the ball. Neither could Hunnicutt. Hunnicutt missed a chip-shot field goal that would have put the Sooners ahead with 3:53 remaining. A stunned home crowd gasped and groaned, and No. 14 Kansas State took possession and ran out the clock, defeating Oklahoma 31-30 on Saturday. No. 11 Kansas State hands Texas first shutout since 2004 In an era of high-octane offenses producing gaudy statistics and prodigious point totals, it makes sense that Kansas State's old-school coach can appreciate an old-school defensive performance.
