<div class="quote_poster">Quoting YaoMing03-04:</div><div class="quote_post">how much should the Rockets offer D Fish. I think they should give him half of the MLE. A starting salary of 2.5 million dollars. 4 years 12 million dollars.

The Rockets can then use the 3.5 million to make an offer to a guy like Etan Thomas. He is a tough nosed backup center.</div>
Half of the MLE? That's a slap in the face to Fisher. He's great.

Honestly, I think the Rockets should pick up Derek Fisher and Ethan Thomas or conduct some trades to clear some cap space that would be used in the future to better improve the bench bunch.

With Derek Fisher, you have an established winner and role player, a solid three point shooter, and solid defender at the point guard position. He knows how to play with a high scoring SG and a dominant inside presence. Ethan Thomas is a decent center that can grab you boards when necessary and buy time for Yao.

Ya'll be in pretty good shape if the Rockets can aquire D-Fish which I hope he stays with the Lakers. Oh yeah, what about Van Exel?
