<div class="quote_poster">Quoting $actown Dyme:</div><div class="quote_post">There should be no question about this. Come on people. <font size="3"><u>LAKERS.</font></u> I don't consider Kings/Mavericks a rivalry. Just bitterness towards each other because both teams have knocked each other out of the playoffs. No bad blood there at all. T Wolves/Kings not a rivalry by any means at all. What you have with the Kings and the Lakers is a rivalry. Bad blood and bitterness. The players have gotten into it, orally and physically. The fans are always into it. Whenever these two teams get together, no matter what state the two teams are in, it's always a battle. The answer's the Lakers, no question about it. It's barely debatable.</div>

    Thank You $ac [IMG]

It doesn't matter to me if The Lakers don't have the same players on the team anymore...There is bad blood still from the rivarly.it's like the Red Sox-Yankees,or Dodgers-Giants rivarlies.granted not on the level that those 2 feuds are,but it doesn't matter if either team is doing great or not,as long as the Fans still harbor Ill-Will towards either team,it will still be there as a Rivarly.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post">The Lakers-Kings rivalry is over right now. The Lakers probably won't be contenders this year, and the Kings know it. It'll probably take a year or so for another rivalry to really develop.</div>

Whether either team is contending that year isn't what makes a rivalry. So by saying that, you're telling me that if the Red Sox were in the cellar of the AL East, then Yankees/ Red Sox wouldn't be a rivalry anymore? As I've already said, the intensity is gone, but that doesn't mean that the rivalry is too.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting samoan-maverick:</div><div class="quote_post">definition of
lost a lot v. : Bench being depleted, not having a bench compared to the years past.

other teams have drifted away adj. : Mavs, Timberwolves, and Spurs (those other teams)are all fighting for the Championship while the Kings used to be, but arent anymore.</div>

If the Kings aren't fighting for the championship, what are they fighting for? If anything, it's for a championship. You can't put the Mavs in that category without putting the Kings.
