The Boston Red Sox announced Monday the passing of team Hall of Famer Bill Monbouquette because of complications from leukemia. Monbouquette, 78, died on Sunday at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. A native of Medford, Massachusetts, Monbouquette, who was affectionately referred to as "Monbo," was signed by the Red Sox out of Medford High School and spent the first eight years of his 11-year career with the team.
