My Martin guitar will be here Monday....weird...I tracked it....monday to tuesday it went from Penn to Kansas... from Kansas to Utah...wed from Utah to Idaho and now from Idaho it will take 4 days to get to Oregon...the neighboring state..makes me wonder why it takes so long for the last few hundred miles

 

Damn, I hope it arrives OK...C. F. Martin, still building them the right way.

My best friend has a 1950-something Martin than has a beautiful ring to it. It is a rare model and was once appraised at between $20-$30K. But about 10 years ago his wife accidentally knocked off its stand and cracked the neck. He sent it to Martin for repair and they injected some sort of resin/epoxy to halt the splitting and did a great job...but it killed the value of the guitar...still sounds great thought. He can sing and play "Please Come To Boston" like you wouldn't believe.

My Brother had a similar experience with a rare and very early Les Paul Gold Top...He replaced the original pickups back in the 70's with some DiMarzio's but failed to keep the originals...bad move. Instead of having a very desirable/collectable Paul, he now simply has a great sounding Paul.

 

Went for my hike and on the way back up the hill UPS passed me.....got home and the guitar was on my porch....it's a thing of beauty and rings like a piano...I'm in love. Need to put some 10s on it because I think they strung it with 13s or something..heavy strings

My wife loves it and she rarely pays much attention to my instruments...the sound is really special and it's really beautiful...bucket list item checked off! Fishman pickup is great too...just tried it out with my Fishman acoustic amplifier and my Fender Champ

 

Can give them both 5 stars! Those Studios sound AMAZING! And the powerbeats are fantastic. 10X better than AirPods.
