Well, since we're complaining, I'd like to complain about having to watch Rebecca interview some hockey player, on-screen mind you, causing me to miss an entire Blazers possession. Or any time for that matter that the camera is stuck on somebody on the sideline while the game is going on. God I hate that. If they want to do the audio of the interview while I watch the game, that's one thing, but when I have to miss the action because the director is in love with Phil Jackson or is showing me some anonymous hockey player talking it really fries me.

    That is all. :pimp:

The only thing I hate about our Comcast/KGW feeds is that they never get the broadcast time right. 75% of the time when the game is on Comcast channel 788 or 37 , I miss half or 75% of the pre-game show because they haven't "flipped" the switch to turn the game on the 788 HD channel. Of course I can view it on CSN 37, but that video quality is just complete trash.

Then when they do finally "flip" the HD switch over to 788; the sound is all jacked up, or muted, or there's weird ASCII characters being displayed on the screen, something like this "CO*$$##@@!$ ???@@@$%"; It's freaking terrible.

KGW does at least start the games on time, but again, picture and audio quality just suck; I however, blame Comcast; it just reeks of their bullshit.

I can't believe a thread complaining about the Blazers' broadcast has gone on this far without mention of the atrocious half-time and post-game guys. Who are they and why do they suck so enormously? And what's with their set? It's way too busy in the background - is that supposed to distract me from how incredibly awkward those two seem? It's a bit sad, actually, because some of the analysis isn't half-bad - it's just terribly presented.

Wow, I couldn't disagree more on both counts. I love Mike and Mike. On the flip-side, I thought the Bulls announcers were poor - at least Mike and Mike can get the names of players correct -- Charles Outlaw? Really? And what was with their negative infatuation with Nicholas Batum. God, everytime he was near a play they had to rail on the guy for something. (Was it the Chicago game where Nic dunked at the end and didn't need to? Maybe that's it.) Anyhoo, my main point is that Mike and Mike are great, and using the Chicago announcers as a comparison may not be the best way to make your point.

On that I am in complete agreement with you and mook.

That reminds me, we joke about LaMarcus and Rebecca, but did anybody else notice her voice when she ended the interview with Travis and how the called him "Trav"? Is that just her shtick?

Can we talk about the camera crew focusing on a hockey player and Rebecca Harlow's interview instead of about 15 seconds of game?

I think when there is technical difficulties, and weird shit happening through-out the game, which isn't the first time, it definitely detracts from the experience. So, it's good to know that other people share the same feelings towards the crappy way it was being re-broadcasted or whatever after it left the Blazer truck.

CSN will finally be all digital in March (according to their commercial). That should greatly improve the road game (non HD) picture quality. Comcast should have done this loooooooooong ago.

Call me MIXUM but I have to agree with this. I can understand it happening once or twice, but it seemed to happen over and over through most of the game. There's no excuse for that.

Oh and put me in the pro Mike and Mike camp. I love those two. They crack me up most of the time.

I personally think Blazer Broadcasting does a better job of providing replays faster and showing more stat info than both TNT and ESPN do.

My issue with EVERY SINGLE broadcasting producer is this.

Why in the fuck do you change to weird camera angles during live gameplay. I get it. You have a lot of cameras around the arena. I want to see the game from the sideline perspective, and that's it. If you want to show replays from other angles more power to you.

As for the Mikes.....They crack me up, but every other fan of every other team hates them. That probbaly means they are too big of homers. Sorta like all of us feel about Heinson.

75 percent of teams don't do full time HD. Waaaay expensive and HD truck are difficult to get on the road- just not enough of them available for the number of shows (not just hoops) that want them. Watch other teams shows- ours is easily one of the best in league for production values and being aggressive getting replays and stats in. Not even close. The league often uses our show as example for others.

    Pretty amateurish, eh?

I'm watching the game now and that Charles Outlaw mistake was funny. Knew that would get a mention here. What is Charles "Bo" Outlaw up to these days any ways? well ask anyone who doesn't follow the blazers and they will tell you he plays for the Portland trailblazers.
