Well, MB is not exactly Mr. Objective here, and we all know Rice is out there so I could see how other teams' fans don't enjoy listening to them. But eh, who cares about other teams' fans.. I'd take the Mikes over having to listen to terrible Pete Pranica and his fakeness anyday.

The commercial audio bleeding into the broadcast didn't really bother me much -- shit happens. But the funny thing is, it made me wonder if it was a glimpse into the future; and if they were doing it on purpose. Remember when you could watch TV and the only thing on the screen was the show being broadcast? Then some networks started adding their logos to the screen during the broadcast, and it bugged the hell out of me. Now you've got logos, messages scrolling across the bottom, and even pop-up ads about other shows they want us to watch, all during the main broadcast. Advertisers are constantly looking for new ways to increase ad exposure in our lives. It's everywhere. So, what's next? I fear we are not too far from networks working in advertising audio in the background during broadcasts. Oh, joy.

Otherwise, I think in general us Blazers fans are spoiled by years of cutting edge, top notch, Blazers broadcasting productions.

Geez Michael, If I could type faster and not keep getting interrupted, I'd have beat you to that post.

    Great Zappa fans think alike!

Say what you will. Part of being a professional technician is putting out a professional quality signal and broadcast. It's their job to do such. The first one or two blips of sound were forgiveable. The ones after that were because nobody was doing their job. It's not the announcers. It's not the guys in the van. It's the guys at KGW who weren't even watching the broadcast close enough to realize there was a problem. :tsktsk:

Could still be. She seemed pretty excited to do that LMA feature piece on yesterday's pregame show.

I think there's something going on there, I keep hearing her almost call him by his nickname half the time, but she corrects herself...

And of course she interviews him the most when she does her on-court post-game interview, no matter how bad or good LMA's game was that night and no matter if he gives off the shortest answers ever.
    Even my girlfriend spots it.

I don't think I've watched more than 30 seconds of a halftime or postgame show this season. I have a strong ability to suppress my gag reflex, but I can't watch that.

That's about 20 mins per game that you've saved of your life. I envy that.
